• Concerns over piracy prompt 20th Century Fox to skip San Diego Comic-Con 2016
Fans dressed as Stormtroopers and superheroes will have one less Hall H line to stand in at this July's San Diego Comic-Con. One year after sending the crowd into a state of rapture with early peeks at "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Apocalypse," 20th Century Fox has decided to sit out this year's convention. The annual pop culture expo has long been considered a critical stop for studios looking to stir up early buzz from genre fans. But this year the fans won't have the supers from Fox to cheer on. That means no Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Gambit (Channing Tatum) or Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), who were all in attendance in 2015.
Source. It seems silly that they would pull out of one of the biggest conventions out there over the fear of potential trailers leaking out from the panels.
who cares there trailers are leaked heck these ones get more coverage,.
who cares there trailers are leaked heck these ones get more coverage,.
I hear more about leaked trailers than I do actual trailers when it comes to publicity. Unless this is supposed to be super top secret stuff I really don't see why they're so concerned about it.
Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence)
She will be missed ;_;7
Imagine getting upset over people seeing your trailer early, because getting publicity and press for your product is so bad.
Oh no, people will see our promotional material! We better not go! Can we have whoever made this decision at 20th Century Fox drug tested?
has long been considered a critical stop for studios looking to stir up early buzz
lol. Tr0n pretty much killed that theory dead as shit.
They're trailers why does it matter if they're leaked, jeez.
no need for comiccon to create hype when you have facebook in 2016
