Jaxson Denno, who is 18 months old, is a huge Iron Man fan. So when his parents found out Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. was nearby shooting a movie, they arranged the meeting of a lifetime.
Like only an 18 month year-old could, though, Denno burst into tears when introduced to Tony Stark, because...he wasn't in the suit. No suit = no Iron Man for a tiny human. Cue the tears, and the amazing photo up top.
The story ends on a brighter note, though; seems once Downey Jr. started talking, Denno recognised the voice, and all was well.
Maybe I'm being a bit of a dick, but my first thought upon seeing the picture was "wow way to ruin Robert Downey Junior's day."

Damn the difference seeing him in real life and in the movie. The makeup difference.

It is just bad lighting.

It's probably a "What the hell am I doing here?" moment, seeing as they're people he doesn't know and the kid is crying.
Fucking 18 month year-olds!

I'm really curious as to who thought that was a great time to snap a photo
Not to worry, though – Downey, 48, soon brought a smile to the boy's face.
"He was fine as soon as he talked to him," Jaxson's mother, Heather Denno, told PEOPLE, explaining that her young son "was so confused because I kept telling him it was Iron Man and he knew it wasn't. Well, not Iron Man in the suit."
Haha, that's the point, it's normal lighting. That is, it's the same lighting you or I have living our lives.
Movie lighting is specialized lighting, along with all the makeup, to make people look abnormally attractive. This is the equivalent of those pornstars without make up pictures, except with a guy. Also, drugs put some mileage on a person's appearance, even if you quit them.
Why is this news
Why is this news
Yeah 15 threads a minute about the xbox one sucking is a-ok but a funny tidbit about robert downey junior just ain't worth the SH.

Don't hate I wish I could meet RDJ, He's one of my favorite actors.
He actually really doesn't look that bad at all to be honest. I'm surprised that he looks that good without all the movie makeup and lighting and stuff
He looks a bit weird because he has no facial hair in this picture.

I miss the daily North Korea threads.
He looks so defeated. :v:
Looks exactly how Tony Stark would react to ever seeing a kid. "What is this thing, and how do I turn it off?"

It's probably going to be that awkward laugh you have when you're insanely embarrassed about something and try to laugh it off.
Baww poor kid, he even makes Kirk Lazarus feel unsettled...

it's a great photo, the situation just shouldn't have happened
the problem is who gives a shit about your overweight mohawked 3 year old
maybe asking for a visit would be justified if he was dying or something, but jesus these people are in town to do work, not to entertain your awkward children
