George Burnett, the owner of I Love Drilling Juice & Smoothie Bar, is charging liberals extra for smoothies, reports KSL-TV (video below).Burnett told KSL-TV: “I’m very open about it, very public about it, that I’m going to charge them a little bit more, and I have liberals come in and pay the extra dollar surcharge." Under Burnett’s pricing plan, conservatives pay $4.95 and liberals pay $5.95 for smoothies at his Vernal, Utah store. Burnett gives the extra dollar to conservative organizations such as the Heritage Foundation, which is funded by big oil companies and denies global warming is a man-made problem. Burnett added: “Really what I’m focused on is the fiscal differences between big government/small government and liberal ways, as far as entitlements and spending. We have a fiscal problem in this country. We’ve got to deal with it or we don’t have a country, so to kind of help make that point, just a little bit, I charge (liberals) just a little bit more.” Burnett did not mention the trillion dollar deficit that Republicans ran up under President Bush. Burnett made news last year when he lent his support for domestic oil drilling, which he apparently believes is only sold in the U.S. at low prices, when in reality the oil is sold on the world market for high prices. Burnett said at the time: “I believe that we need to be drilling to get our own energy sources. In fact, I’m as bold as to say, ‘You love drilling whether you know it or not.’ When you’re filling up at that gas tank, you oughta be saying: ‘I love drilling. I sure beats walking.’”
http://www.opposingviews.com/i/politics/taxes/video-george-burnett-charges-liberals-more-smoothies-conservatives
what does he charge independents or libertarians or socialists or communists or tourists who visit and don't have any american political affiliation.
funded by big oil companies and denies global warming is a man-made problem.
urgh
Just lie there lmao. I can be a conservative if it gets me a cheaper drink.
Is this even legal? serious question
‘I love drilling. I sure beats walking.’
I enjoy walking to where I need to go, except for terrible smelling car exhaust.
what does he charge independents or libertarians or socialists or communists or tourists who visit and don't have any american political affiliation.
The term ''liberal'' in America usually refers to anyone ranging from center-right to far left.
Just lie there lmao. I can be a conservative if it gets me a cheaper drink.
Or you know, don't support a business that discriminates against people for exercising their rights and having a different opinion.
urgh
To be fair there was an Ice Age back when we were still riding horses around and fighting with swords. The scientific evidence for man-made climate change is iffy, could just be a natural cycle of Earth.
Just lie there lmao. I can be a conservative if it gets me a cheaper drink.
then he can call you dirty lying liberal scum
That's like being racist, but on the person's political view. That's politicist.
what does he charge independents or libertarians or socialists or communists or tourists who visit and don't have any american political affiliation.
I doubt he gets a lot of those in Small-Town Utah.
To be fair there was an Ice Age back when we were still riding horses around and fighting with swords. The scientific evidence for man-made climate change is iffy, could just be a natural cycle of Earth.
the evidence is not "iffy" and hasn't been for a while now.
Just lie there lmao. I can be a conservative if it gets me a cheaper drink.
I bet if you wear a noboma shirt you get another $1 off.
Or you know, don't support a business that discriminates against people for exercising their rights and having a different opinion.
Fuck that I'm thirsty. The scientific evidence for man-made climate change is iffy, could just be a natural cycle of Earth.
This is wrong.
Is this even legal? serious question
Yes, it's a private business. If the Police refused to go to your house or an ambulance because you were a liberal than it'd be illegal but they can choose not to get a Smoothie from him and he doesn't even deny them service all together. You don't need that Smoothie to live.
To be fair there was an Ice Age back when we were still riding horses around and fighting with swords. The scientific evidence for man-made climate change is iffy, could just be a natural cycle of Earth.
are you comparing a natural ice age to global warming what the fuck
I enjoy walking to where I need to go, except for terrible smelling car exhaust.
Must be nice to live in the City. Too bad some of us live thirty minutes away from our job by car.
Either of those are too much for a smoothie
This is wrong.
I believe he is talking about the "Little ice age"

This guy should be sued for a ton; that'll teach him to embrace degeneracy.
Just lie there lmao. I can be a conservative if it gets me a cheaper drink.
$4.95 is still overpriced if I can get 700 calories worth of actual food for $2, why would I pay 2.5x more for a drink only?
i can't see how this gets past any kind of consumer rights law. [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] it's like charging a jewish person more just because he's jewish
$4.95 is still overpriced if I can get 700 calories worth of actual food for $2, why would I pay 2.5x more for a drink only?
To each his own. Some people like smoothies, and that's a pretty average price for a large smoothie.
Highly doubting this is legal.
To be fair there was an Ice Age back when we were still riding horses around and fighting with swords. The scientific evidence for man-made climate change is iffy, could just be a natural cycle of Earth.
I swear to christ man, if I could slap you with every single study that has been peer reviewed and supports climate change being heavily influenced by man, I would dislocate both my shoulders and you'd have a shattered skull.
go in, buy a smoothie for $4.95, on the way out go "oh by the way i'm a liberal" then laugh all the way to your car
Well climate does run on a pretty natural cycle and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot That said Anyone who doesn't think that mankind is accelerating the process with greenhouse gasses is even worse
How would he even tell if you're a liberal or not?
