Impressed by the length, holy shit. The backstab stuff got a good chuckle out of me.
Haven't seen a good Dark Souls animation in a while, n1.
DS2 got a lot of shit for being made by the "B-Team," thanks to not having Miyazaki on the team, but watching this video made me remember how great the locations were. it had a lot of really memorable stuff. and a fucking ton of bosses.

FROM isn't that big to have two teams. What the difference was the director and some else maybe. The way it ended up like this is because the first director tried to make it open-world, then got kicked off and second director salvaged what was left and couldn't start from scratch due to time constraints. Even so, the game was still very enjoyable and very good as a game. Probably going to get shot for saying this but.....i actually enjoyed DS2 more than i have DS3 thus far.
Probably going to get shot for saying this but.....i actually enjoyed DS2 more than i have DS3 thus far.
You're not alone, I enjoyed DS2 much more than DS3. It felt like they were trying so hard to get away from DS2 that they ignored everything that made it better than the first game, and the result was Dark Souls 1.5. Which is what many wanted, I guess, but not me.
it's so early 2000s internet animation, i love it. even the humor is similar
Really stood out to me how this guy didn't skimp out on drawing fingers and hand gestures. A lot of people will simplify hands by only drawing four fingers, giving characters hands that look like oven mittens, or just minimizing gesturing and the screen time hands get (by keeping them below the screen or covering them or at least keeping them static). Then again, I guess in the absence of faces the hands needed to get a lot of character across and they may have stood out to me because of that.
The lag invader had me laughing so hard.
I didn't remember who the animator was until I saw that spinning Luigi
Haha he nailed that Bellfry Luna part.
I like how he replicated the animation style of all the things he referenced, like the way you run in the game and the Scooby Doo part
I got excited when I saw the VaatiVidya parody phantom. I really enjoy that guys videos and his voice.
Gotta say i expected a reference for the Shrine of Amana to make a joke about how the area is more annoying and harder than the actual boss. ( PEW PEW LONG RANGE SPELLS PEW PEW )
Perfect marriage of "hey remember that shit, fuck that shit" and somehow Hanna-barbera via Newgrounds ten years ago.
8:14 was hilarious.
9:50 resident evil 4 angry spaniards
Gandalf just casts homing soul mass :v:
I'll never forget that DKC2 enemy's laugh.
Even the voice impressions were awesome... I could write an essay on how awesome this entire piece is. Well done. [editline]15th May 2016[/editline] Ah, man.. I'm in tears.
This makes me feel kind of nostalgic for DS2, even though the game is only 2 years old and I played it just a few months ago. :v:
This is a really accurate depiction of DS2
Even the music is perfect. Tiny Tim works well in this situation. It reminds me of the Spongebob pilot.
