Do you guys ever get sad over a TV show? Either sad that the show is over, or sad that your life isn't more like the show's character's? I've been experiencing this recently and I think it's kinda weird I still feel that way at 20. This is childish right? I just finished watching Scrubs and I am devastated that I won't be able to keep seeing the character's lifes. At the same time, throughout the show, I was regretting never having considered becoming a doctor. Have any of you guys ever felt such an attachment to a TV show? What'd you do to get over it?
LOST, because it's probably the most captivating show I've ever watched. Even though the later seasons weren't as good, it's still the best show I've ever watched. For me it was perfect.

My Name Is Earl getting canceled on a cliffhanger.
Too many times.
Supernatural
Lost
Buffy
Angel
Six Feet Under
Firefly
The Wire
Babylon 5
Farscape
Stargate SG-1
Damages
Battlestar Galactica
All of these had immensely sad moments that managed to produce a tear.
Many times when it's a show that I love a lot but for some reason or another it got a really short lifespan like Freaks and Geeks and Arrested Development. They didn't deserve to be cancelled!
Death Note/Code Geass almost brought me to tears, if that counts. Other than that I'd say Supernatural.
Twin Peaks
Heroes
Skins
a few scenes in Gilmore Girls make me sad when I've watched them in the past. Yeah I watch Gilmore Girls, fuck wit me, Dipset.

As if this wasn't bad enough, here is what came right after it on the DVD:

Obligatory Firefly.
Angry Boys, so funny yet made me cry at the very end.
Battlestar Galactica

Oh god, I wish I could live at the SGC.
Anything Joss has done aside from Doll House. Especially Firefly since it was so fucking awesome and so short-lived.

it's canceled, i thought they just finished the series!
This might sound kind of lame, but...

At the time, I was going through a rough spot in my life. I was feeling depressed, disconnected, and had a not-very-good relationship with my family. And then the episode You Can Go Home Again came on. In that episode, Frasier has just moved to Seattle and meets up with his brother and his father for the first time in a while. Deciding to try to reconnect with his dad, the two spend some time together and can find nothing to talk about. Martin regretfully suggests that the two just give up and go their separate ways, but Frasier decides that, no, they are going to take some effort to get to know each other. That just hit me right where I was, how family often is "easy to love but hard to like".
That's not lame, Frasier is a great show. The pilot won an Emmy for god's sake. I just started watching it on a regular basis within the last few months, 2 episodes a day. It's great. They're all aired out of order though, but I don't care. It is a bit weird sometimes when you see Niles and Daphne together, then the next episode has Niles complaining about Maris and her lawyers.
when BSG ended
when tscc was cancelled
when SG-1 was stuck in a time dilation field or w/e next to an ori vessel about to be blown up and that ccr song played. have you ever seen the rain i think it was.
[sp] yes i know s9 and s10 are shit but oh well [/sp]
It sucks when a show is canceled whilst the writers/producers had more planned and had wanted to continue. Even worse if it doesn't have time to give it some closure or it ends on a cliffhanger or something.

The ending to season 2 made me shed a few tears.
Yeah today on the X-Files when [sp]the three computer hackers sacrificed themselves in season 9[/sp]
it's canceled, i thought they just finished the series!
The episode ended with Joy about to reveal who Earl Jr.'s real father was, and then they never made the second part.
The series ended on May 19, 2009 after running for four seasons. Season four had ended with the caption 'To Be Continued'. The series' producer, 20th Century Fox Television, approached the Fox, ABC, TBS and TNT networks to continue the series, but they were unable to come to terms without "seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series."
I will probably never forget the moment in Lost when[sp]Penny's father doesn't give Desmond his approval to marry Penny, and then he goes out of the building and it's all raining..[/sp]
I only get sad when good shows end.
I went into instant depression when Glee started.
But seriously, I cried like a little bitch when Bleeding Gums Murphy died on The Simpsons.
