Yet another comparison video between oblivion and skyrim, but instead of mostly comparing landscapes I am comparing the armors of oblivion & skyrim.
New improved version with a lot better lighting.

Holy fuck, this just shows how much work they put into making the different armors have different art styles. Especially the orc and steel armors. The only armor i liked better in Oblivion was the shrouded armor.
It's a cool comparison, but my only problem with this is that the skyrim armours are quite dark and hard to make out in this.

I know, I had to record the skyrim armors like twice. First time they were even darker, I tried setting the brightness settings + messing around a bit post fx but still they ended up dark.
Nice comparison but it's a shame that you couldn't show all the variations of the armor types without looking weird.
You forgot the Steel armor that isn't full plate :v:
Put the light source behind the 'camera'. If you're looking north, make sure the sun is to the south. That's why it seemed dark
Or go to a place with good lighting such as Dragon's Reach.
Daedric armour looks incredible in Skyrim.

IMO Shrouded armor looks better in Skyrim, it's just too dark to see anything

Well now I feel stupid...The only armors what are hard to see is the dark brotherhood one and the blades. Other ones look fine imo, but eh.
Am I the only one who thought that the leather chestpiece's shoulders looked dumb, being it's strapped around your bare arms? They should have included a fur undershirt with it, which they did with the steel set.
Imo the art direction in Skyrim is amazing, a good blend of Dragon Age and Lord of The Rings imo.
Personally i think Glass armor is the biggest looking upgrade compared to the old, i mean............the Oblivion Glass armor is a fucking Lollipop man suit.

no lollygaggin'.
Are you planning to do weapons?
Are you planning to do weapons?
Haven't really thought of that, but sure I could do the weapons.
Personally out of all the armors I like Morrowind's the best

You forgot Imperial armor.
You forgot Imperial armor.
There was too big of a difference from imperial legion armor and the imperial armor from skyrim.
There was too big of a difference from imperial legion armor and the imperial armor from skyrim.
Skyrim's is pretty much Roman armor and Oblivion's is like some armor.
Lol all the head armor in oblivion look fucking retarded.
If you want the background song.

no way, dwarven. you went from sitting in a golden barrel to being the emperor of mankind
Well now I remember why I didn't ever wear head pieces in oblivion.
Hell, now I remember why I only used modded in armors.

Anime waifu nude fem warrior cloth heavy armor
Now that I look at it, Oblivion's armor is the cartooniest looking shit out of all the Elder Scrolls Series. I mean seriously, just LOOK AT THAT GLASS ARMOR
Skyrim's glass armor is fucking amazing. But I personally like the Nightingale armor
I hated the Dwarven armor in Oblivion. Made you look like a fucking tin man. In Skyrim you look like a badass juggernaut.
And the glass armor in Oblivion looked like your armor was filled with green jello.

Nightingale armor was badass, especialy the headgear.
I remember that Oblivion was the one that looked stunning and amazing back in the day.

My ass. Half Life 2 looks better than that, and it was 2 years older.
