New poll shows Hillary's lead shrinking versus Donald Trump
Over the past couple of weeks, Donald Trump has become the presumptive Republican nominee and Hillary Clinton has continued to inch closer to the magic number of delegates she needs to lock up the Democratic contest. Clinton continues to lead Bernie Sanders in our national tracking poll (she is up by 14 points in this week's results).
Attention is now rapidly moving to the hypothetical match-up between the leading candidates with an emphasis on a Clinton and Trump contest. In this week's poll, Americans are nearly split between their choice of Trump or Clinton; her margin over Trump narrows from 5 points last week to 3 points this week to 48 percent to 45 percent.
This early data indicates a very close race right now — though that may change considerably before November. Understanding, why the race is close requires a deeper look into how various demographic groups break for either candidate.
The demographic-based analyses below are from the latest data from the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll conducted online from May 9 through May 15 among 14,100 adults, including 12,507 who say they are registered to vote.

You all ready for a weak democratic candidate so that we can see an utter buffoon in office?
can't stump
whenever I hear trump, I feel this feeling:

"If elections were held today"
But they're not. They'll be held in 6 months. A lot of time from then and now. These polls are pointless until October.

but can you put your stump in his plump rump?

The problem is that Trump is more popular than clinton among independents, which are the largest voting block in the country.
People need to take into consideration that a very strong anti Trump campaign started long ago in media and on the Internet. You can watch a random Youtube video that has nothing to do with politics and they will put Trump there in some negative context (like Trump signing a deal with the devil in a fan made video explaining the story in Doom). Sanders campaign wasn't very aggressive and negative towards Hillary, but I'm sure Trump will damage her reputation significantly.

[sp]But in seriousness, this looks like it's going to be a close one- we also need to consider the shade that'll be thrown at Hillary when the details of her federal investigation emerge some more.[/sp]
I'm not trying to imply Trump will lose come November (even though I do believe that), he could possibly sweep the election. Or Hillary could sweep the election. Or both could die of a heart attack in September. My point is, looking at election polls this early is absurd and impossibly inaccurate to the what reality will be in November.
This is kinda scary, I think while a lot of democrats, liberals and left wingers aren't really a fan of Hillary, it seems pretty obvious she's the much lesser of two evils at this point. That might just be my perspective as an outsider though, I mean we elected a quintessentially establishment prime minister and look at us.
Trump defeated 16 republicans, I guess that makes crooked hillary the 17th.
And to think, Trump hasn't even really started on Crooked Hilary yet.
He's got about six full months to completely run the Clinton dynasty into the dirt.
It's very possible that he manages to make Crooked Hilary look like the most dirty and least electable person to ever run for the American presidency in less time than that.
So the polls show literally every group would vote Hillary except for white men but she's somehow loosing?

On the other hand, Hillary made an anti-Trump advertisement that consists literally of just Trump talking.
Trump is gonna dig up so much dirt on crooked hillary that Sanders never dared to do.
When he shows the American people just how crooked she is he will gain a huge chunk of her voters.
The only thing the clinton campaign can do is quote Trump out of context, even then what you hear him say is still reasonable.

It isn't absurd or inaccurate, because it shows the starting point of the candidates, and that is all what it is. I can't really see people having worse opinion about Trump than they have now. Even my parents have a bad opinion about him, but are OK about Hillary, mostly because they never heard anything bad about her. Being such a showman, loud mouth and a dirty player, he will probably be in the center of the media's attention, and hurt Hillary both in the US and internationally.

Have you seen the ad? Nothing is pulled out of context.

Something I've noticed is how much people buy into the Trump rhetoric. It's pretty remarkable. I remember a few months back johnfischer89 or whatever was basically talking through him.

He unironically says Trump will make America great again, I don't think you'll convince him Trump is a bad candidate.

I have never come into SH hoping to one day convince someone that they are wrong. Anyone who does needs to take a step back and realize we're they're at :v:

With a few tweaks those could be pro-Trump ads.
They're basically saying: Trump is not PC and he is pissing off the establishment.
A lot of people would appreciate that and vote for him.

There's a difference between being non-PC and having very retarded viewpoints. He kinda exercises both.

Oh, I forgot actual policies don't matter now as long as they're not PC and want to bring the man down.

It's really bad when an opponent doesn't have to have a counter policy or explanation of why your policies are bad and instead just literally let you say what your policies are.
Oh, I forgot actual policies don't matter now as long as they're not PC and want to bring the man down.
well, yeah. policies don't matter. welcome to american politics.
They show a movement towards Trump.
And we both should know who is better at debates.
I wouldn't call hogging speaking time with senseless yelling as "better at debates".
Romney was beating Obama around this time last election. Point is, it is meaningess.
This is what I've been saying that Hillary's victory isn't so guaranteed. Trump has much more supporters than you'd be led to believe. This election is a total toss up.
How aggravating it must be to lose from someone like Donald J. Trump.
Good.
I'd rather Trump than Hillary.
