Less than a month after allowing foreign visitors to access 3G wireless networks, North Korea has reportedly severed tourists' connection to the mobile Internet. The reclusive country announced last month that it would soon relax restrictions on visitors' access to the Internet via mobile devices within its borders, rules that long required visitors to leave their handsets at the border or airport when entering to the country. Residents were expected to have access to certain voice and text services on the 3G network, but not the mobile Internet. Koryolink, a 3G mobile provider partially owned by the North Korean government, began offering the service on March 1, allowing foreigners to bring their own WCDMA-compatible phones into the country or rent a mobile and buy a local SIM card at the airport. However, North Korea Tech reports that a notice posted to the Koryo Tours Web site indicates that program has been terminated. The notice, as posted by the company, which specializes in arranging tours to North Korea:
source
Interesting.
Why is there always a Kim Jong Un picture in every North Korea thread's OP?
Why is there always a Kim Jong Un picture in every North Korea thread's OP?
Because they're always relevant.
Why is there always a Kim Jong Un picture in every North Korea thread's OP?
Because he is the nation. :v:
Is that a cigarette in his hand?

Also according to Fujimoto, Jong-un smokes Yves Saint Laurent cigarettes
... what foreign visitor(s)?
... what foreign visitor(s)?
Chinese maybe?
... what foreign visitor(s)?
It is possible to get a tour, if you are a big name or go through the proper agencies. I just don't know why you would want to, unless you want to see the facade presented to you by the leadership of a starving nation.
... what foreign visitor(s)?
Remember how a long time ago the rich used to have guided tours through the worst neighborhoods of the city? Same thing.
Who wants to bet that they are going to kill the whole 5 foreign visitors they have there.
Well that sure lasted a long time.
And that's when people start vanishing.

I heard North Korea has a pretty cool waterpark, just don't get water in your mouth.
I wasn't aware North Korea had mobile access in general.
No, it's a joint
Weed is surprisingly quite commonly used in NK apparently http://www.vice.com/read/north-korea-is-stoned-all-the-time-which-explains-a-lot
that's weird, I only remember months ago of instagram celebrating this and giving hashtag links of photos being uploaded from NK
They have done this so that American tourists can't call home for help when they fall mercy to the glorious country.
