Man, and 99.99% that UT4 will also be announced today. Age of Mythology : EE gets released today. Is today the best day ever or what? 2014 will be a good year

TWO BLOODY GREAT HANDFULS!

True, but for quite a time it looked pretty great.
That said the plans laid out by Tripwire suggest this game is going to rock people's socks off. Needs plenty of bosh-bosh-zhoom-zhoom-whallop-DOSH though, that's one of the things that gave KF1 its charm and "memetic appeal", as evidenced by stuff like this.

literally blood money
This is going to be glorious.
The perpetual new payed weapon packs of the first, I found a bit disgusting, but I can't blame them for trying to milk an old game and keep it on life support at the same time.
Bit of a shame that it's on UE3, but can't wait for it regardless!
That gore and animation system seems pretty cool.
Too bad it's on Unreal Engine 3 and not 4, but I guess it must've been in development for a while now.

I'm fine with $3 skinpacks but they'll probably go with the weapon pack crap again, and $5 individual skins.
holy shit is this april fools
"When we started designing the game we decided gore was going to be the most important feature,"

Each zed in KF2 features 19 points of dismemberment

You can literally paint the texture with blood and it'll stay the entire match.

Using the Bullpup as an example, we animated at 242 frames per second

In KF1, zeds simply moved faster and soaked up damage like lead-starved bullet sponges. In KF2, zeds become more aggressive and gain new abilities.

elee has been completely reworked for KF2, with light and heavy attacks, combos, and four-way directional swings.

"A big goal for us this time around is to make sure the endgame, playing the game for a long time, is much more entertaining and has a lot more replay value,"
What the fuck, killing floor is one of the best coop games I've ever played, and it literally looks like they're improving it in every single way, I can't find a SINGLE complaint about their new features.
It's like they actually give a shit and they're making this because they want to make something fun, not just to cash in money.
I will pay full price on release for this if it continues to look as good as it does, this is how devs should fucking do it. I hope they all end up with enough money to buy the bahamas.
Please please do not change the voice acting one bit.
Also if we have all rank 6s in KF1 can we get some kind of small perk, maybe a unique skin
God I hope the movement will be better. Never liked how it felt in the first one.
oh god i need this
Paris this time around. I like. I see in the screenshots that they seemed to keep some of the old characters. Maybe even all of them. Let's hope they let us transition our DLCs on over to KF2.
Also, first post on the TWI KF2 forums. Not ashamed.
Killing Floor is one of my favourite games, so I'll definitely be keeping an incredibly close eye on this.
Also, it's worth noting that the link in the OP links to the second page of the article, which is why it starts off talking about gore before anything else.
I enjoyed Killing Floor fairly well and still play it from time to time. Can't wait for this new one even though my laptop most likely can't handle it.
19 points of dismemberment? God damn this game is going to be gruesome and brutal
