They should get fired and fined.

"Police say that they were trying to administer First Aid"
Quick, stop the bleeding by applying rapid bursts of pressure.
this is why i don't trust the cops
*squirm*
"RAAAAAAH!!!" *pummel*
It looks like at least one of them overreacted a bit.
Sometimes I just don't understand law enforcement
Oh god damnit! Who let the ones with anger management out again?
Sometimes I think they pick P.O.'s from the street.
hey guys come on they were just trying to give cpr
Jail time please.
Of course this happened in Liverpool.
All the police in Liverpool are gangsters who volunteered so they could get weapons.
Such is life in Liverpool.
So we have firefighters that let your house burn down, firefighters that let you drown in freezing water, and now police that attack victims?
This world is fucked. up.
He was fighting back when they were trying to bandage his head, they show it perfectly clearly in the video. They had like, 3 people trying to hold him down.

Oh my god what is wrong with that womans hair.
Maybe something, that we can't see on the video, happened, hence the punch.
He was obviously resisting
Stop freaking out facepunch.

Yeah maybe but nobody in their right mind punches someone in the head when he was just stabbed in the head.
The chicks all like "Dude, what the fuck, calm down..."
He was resisting first aid, obviously he shouldn't of punched him but I can see why. Just a scouse way of doing things.
The wound was resisting. They needed to take drastic action before it hurt one of the officers.
Biased news article and OP.
The man became aggressive and started attacking the police officers when they began to tend his wounds, then they took appropriate action to preserve their lives as well as his.
EDIT: Forgot to mention though that the punching in the head bit was far too brutal for the situation, given the fact he had already been pinned down by three officers.

This doesn't change the fact they were punching a man who had been stabbed in the head.
Fair enough it doesnt show the whole story, but still there is no excuse for punching someone in the head like that you can clearly see he isn't resisting enough to warrant being smacked in the head, and if he is bleeding in the head a paramedic should have been there to check not just the cops.
Well, who else was he going to punch?
