• Intense itching while exercising

For as long as I can remember, the act of intense physical exercise has always caused me to break out in fits of itching. I understand that a bit of itching is normal as you sweat, but this gets so bad that it stings like insect bites and forces me to stop. The worst itching is usually around my scalp. I keep my hair short, and I wash it daily, which eases the itching a little bit but not enough to make it bearable. I also get intense itching around my back, upper arms and thighs. This totally sucks because I'm beginning to get overweight, and I'd like to go back into routine exercise but this issue makes it impossible to do so without extreme pain. I've tried a few things, such as wearing a muscle compression suit to absorb sweat which worked for my body but my scalp still hurt like a bitch. Everyone I've talked to about this don't really know what the problem could be so I'm hoping one of you muscular manly internet men can help.
Visit a doctor.
i used to get that reeeaallly bad. i know that exact feeling, it feels like a million needles being stuck into your scalp. shitty feeling. i usually either dealt with it and kept working out or if i had a towel with me id scratch my head with the towel over my hand. felt so good. it hasn't happened in a while though, not sure why. but yeah visiting the doctor is good too.
I get this same sensation in my knees sometimes. It's distracting and unpleasant, but goes away after a bit. I think it's a pretty common sort of thing.
Just continue the exercise, you pussy.

Maybe not enough fluids maybe the fact I had longer hair, or, finally, I quickly exercised after a meal. Try n see if you do those things, haven't had that feeling in ages.
If you are swimming, chlorine easily gets absorbed into you skin pores, and while working out it can dry your skin out, emnate a smell of chlorine, and cause your skin to crack and itch like a motherfucker -been swimming off and on for 6 years.
Even days afterwards?
Even days afterwards?
if you work out swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool, it can last for about a week or so. Every time I lift during swim season, I sweat and it makes the room smell of chlorine
Shit, now I know! I used to itch like crazy back in the day when I used to swim.
Shit, now I know! I used to itch like crazy back in the day when I used to swim.
Well, I don't know if it has something to do with it, but when I go to the pool, and I'm in the water for a long time (30+mins) I start itching like crazy.
One time, when I was wearing this weird ass shirt that had a quicksilver logo that made a mark on the inside. I went to the gym in it, to find that it had given me a rash, it was itchy as fuck for a while, but slowly faded. Probably unrelated, but a few weeks later I got shingles in the same place.
If your swimming alot use lotion and see if it helps
