Looks great. I can't be bothered to look for better priced stuff but that's a nice solid build.

wait wait wait wait.
• 2 PCI Express gen2 x16 slots supports ATI® Crossfire
[editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
doesn't look like you can sli on that board
I'm not too fussed about SLI. The price is fine, I have a limit of £700 so this is done nicely.
It's seriously crimpling upgradability for you though. I'd get the 6850, preforms similarly/a tad faster and is cheaper, and you can crossfire later.

6000 series has just come out, so it won't be all THAT good, yet. Or so I heard.

It is good. The $200 price tag on the 6850 is great. Performs better than 460.
It's already better than the gtx 460 1gb and as the drivers mature it'll perform better.

ninja'd
It really isn't much better than the 460 at all (1-2 frames at most, sometimes not at all), and the 460 is better at overclocking and scales better in SLi so is overall the better card
AFAIK every P55 mobo supports SLi as long as it has 2 PCI_E slots, I've yet to hear otherwise
the 460 is worth it over the 6850 for the cyclone cooler alone
The PSU is 750 in this.
in your other thread you said you weren't getting the XFX 650W because it was out of stock, you don't need 750W even for 2 460s so it's just a waste of money
go with the 650w
[editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
seems the GD55's second PCI-E slot is PCI-E 1.0 and only runs at 4x, that's probably why it doesn't advertise SLi capability
OP get the GD65 instead http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-p55-gd65-intel-p55-motherboard-lga1156

But his board doesn't support SLI... Soo I think the 6850 wins don't you?

the second PCI-E slot didn't have enough bandwidth for crossfire either, that's why I've changed it
the 460 is a better choice
Oh, didn't look at that. Then yea, I'd go 460 over it.
