• Build in progress - I need some advice

So I'm making a new build and so far I've bought: -i7 3930K unlocked -Kingston HyperX Predator CL9 1866 (2x8GB) -Gigabyte GA G1 Assassin 2 X79 -Zotac GTX 680 Amped and i'm planning to buy: -WD Black 4TB -2x128Gb SSDs for RAID 0 (Probably Sasmung Pro, or Adata) -either the H100i or H110 for liquid-cooling -either the Cooler Master HAF X, or HAF 932 as my case -Seasonic 1050W Power Supply -Possibly a blu-ray combo drive -possibly a second-hand 680 for SLI I was wondering if anybody has any opinions on the motherboard (especially in comparison to the Asus Sabertooth X79), the cases (I'm not sure if I even really need the HAF X or if there is any real advantage), and the coolers (which one is better for my purpose, or should I choose a different one all together?). Feel free to add any suggestions if I'm missing anything or if I should add anything to it. Cheers!
looks good as long as you have a use for such high end components, if you're just gaming then you're overspending by a lot [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] and the H110 doesn't really show big improvements over the H100i so if the H100i is cheaper then just get that

I got a nice deal on the processor, but if you recommend cutting costs in certain areas I'm curious to know where I should, because saving a bit of money would be nice. Thank you!
you could go down to an 850W (Seasonic X850 is nice if you want to stay in that brand) both of the HAF cases are really nice and have amazing airflow but they're a little old, if you want something newer take a look at the Bitfenix Shinobi XL http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811345005 (windowed version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811345004)
If the OP wants to get a HAF then he should go with a HAF XM or HAF XB since they're the newest cases in the series.
If the OP wants to get a HAF then he should go with a HAF XM or HAF XB since they're the newest cases in the series.
i was trying to stick to full tower but yeah the XM is actually really nice
The XM does look nice, but the build quality itself isn't as nice as the X, so i'm going to stick with it. Do you guys have any opinions on WD Blacks vs Seagate Constellation CS SED? This is what i'm really stuck on
Thanks for the help gents, I settled for the Seagate, and the H110 after reading up on the review. I can't wait to put her together!
Post some pics when your done, I'm a little interested to see how it turns out.
I finally got my processor in the mail yesterday and then we completed the rig. Last night in a heaven benchmark (everthing on ultra) it averaged somewhere around 39 fps and scored about 983.
Regarding the monitor, I can recommend the XL2420T - but it's only 120hz. They did get 144hz on the XL2411T and it should be just as good
