I don't know why, but whenever I make something, like writing a story or something, I try to hide it from as many people as I can, because I think it's utter shit. This is a problem that I really want to get over, since my careers of choice involve sharing things I make with the public. A task which I have only been able to accomplish about 4 times in my whole life. So, anybody know how I can overcome this problem?
I have the same problem. That's why I write funny things so that it's allowed to be utter shit.
Do you hate your own thread? I do
Um. Believe in yourself. Show your various works to trusted people to get various opinons, and then slowly show people you aren't as close with to get even more.
You're reclusive. Get over being self conscious and get a girlfriend.
I love your thread. Hope that helps.
What is you career of choice?
Do you hate your own thread? I do
I mean big things, like say, school projects. That's a good example because I have actually failed school projects because I was never satisfied with it.
You're reclusive. Get over being self conscious and get a girlfriend.
Also this. You have sex with a girl or two, you feel like nothing can bring you down.
What is you career of choice?
Either Film-Making (Director) or Game Designer. Haven't decided for sure yet.
Don't ever have a child.
Game Designer
You and everyone else under the sun.
Also this. You have sex with a girl or two, you feel like nothing can bring you down.
I disagree; that feeling doesn't last forever.
You and everyone else under the sun.
I've only recently started considering that, I will probably only do it as a hobby since Film-Making has always been a passion of mine.
Either Film-Making (Director) or Game Designer. Haven't decided for sure yet.
My career choice is crime fighting astronaught., think i can do it guys?
Don't have any children.
I disagree; that feeling doesn't last forever.
No, but maybe he needs the initial bump up there on the self-esteem chart, and from there he can find other things to help him feel better about shit he makes.
Self-confidence, get some.
Get better at doing things.
im a hippo. [editline]02:23AM[/editline] shit wrong thread
Make a baby, see what you think now.
Here's a tip. As a writer, I think it's imperative that you find a role model. That way you can further develop your style while emulating others, thus you'll become more confident in your writing. Now, if you've already done that, I'm sure I can come up with a few other suggestions for you.
Stop caring so much about what you think. What you think doesn't matter. In order to get over this problem, you are going to have to force yourself to show your work to people, not hide it, and stop caring so much about what others might think.
im a hippo. [editline]02:23AM[/editline] shit wrong thread
please stop the spamming
Then film making and game designer would have to be the worst choices you can choose. Watch Two and a half man
Criticism is an important key to success. I think you should find someone to share your work, and ask him/her opinions. Good luck!
it's because everything you make is pretty shit
Either Film-Making (Director) or Game Designer. Haven't decided for sure yet.
Good on you. People in this thread are morons to be making fun of your choice of career. Guys he made the thread because he isn't confident, don't make things worse by posting shit like:
My career choice is crime fighting astronaught., think i can do it guys?
I think this applies to almost everyone. To me it's both a good and a bad thing, where it can either help me achieve something amazing or really go down the drain. Shit happends really. :v:
