F1 legend Michael Schumacher has left hospital after the skiing accident that nearly killed him, and is no longer in a coma, his family says
Breaking on the BBC. More to follow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-27868787 EDIT: More on Sky News - http://news.sky.com/story/1283224/schumacher-out-of-coma-and-leaves-hospital
"Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore," his management company said in a statement. "His family would like to explicitly thank all his treating doctors, nurses and therapists in Grenoble as well as the first aiders at the place of the accident, who did an excellent job in those first months. "The family also wishes to thank all the people who have sent Michael all the many good wishes to Michael. We are sure it helped him."
thats pretty great really a shame how he was knocked into coma after what he did for his career
After such a long time, I didn't think he'd wake up anymore. Wish him all the best.
Any clue what his current state is? Can he talk?
Some of the reports say that he is unable to move or speak - but don't provide sources. There hasn't been an official update on that.
Modern medicine, how I love thee.
'out of coma' makes me think he's not fully out of coma yet.....
He was simply conserving his strength for another crack at the GP
Thank fuck he pulled through. Somewhat at least. Hoping we'll get more good news in the future, like if he can still speak and such.
'out of coma' makes me think he's not fully out of coma yet.....
He has left the hospital, I don't think they'd let a guy in a coma leave the hospital
He has left the hospital, I don't think they'd let a guy in a coma leave the hospital
He left the hospital many months ago, After they build a private clinic at his home.....
'out of coma' makes me think he's not fully out of coma yet.....
The phrase out of a coma, literally means what it says, it means he's out of a coma.
He left the hospital many months ago, After they build a private clinic at his home.....
My mistake then, I haven't been following the story and the wording made it sound like he had just left the hospital:
F1 legend Michael Schumacher has left hospital after the skiing accident that nearly killed him, and is no longer in a coma, his family says

The phrase out of a coma, literally means what it says, it means he's out of a coma.
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
oh my god just shut up
I recall a article about a doctor who said even if he came out of his coma there would be a very high chance now his brain would have very little functionality. Hope this isn't so though, heres to a speedy recovery Mikey
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
Because in this context, quotation marks are actually being used to signify a quote rather than their increasingly common use in sarcasm
Because in this context, quotation marks are actually being used to signify a quote rather than their increasingly common use in sarcasm
I honestly didn't know that.
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
It's to put emphasis on the news and also to quote the story. Do you ever read newspapers?
How long has he been out?
So he finally won the race to get out of coma. Now to the Grand Prix of rehabilitation
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
Or they're directly quoting someone in this case.
'out of coma' makes me think he's not fully out of coma yet.....
haha holy shit are you for real dude you're actually fucking retarded (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Orkel))
Some of the reports say that he is unable to move or speak - but don't provide sources. There hasn't been an official update on that.
The best source are announcements made by his manager and his doctors, I wouldn't really take it from anyone else.
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
It's got those around it because it's a quote
It must be so sureal "How long I've been sleeping?" "6 months" "WHAT"
Then why the fuck put 's around it? I had a 'fun' time with that chick =/= I had a fun time with that chick
It is a quote.
It must be so sureal "How long I'v been sleeping?" "6 months" "WHAT"
Imagine all the cars he could have tested during those 6 months. Like the new Dacia Sandero!
I honestly didn't know that.
Then you need to work on your reading, because if you'll notice, it's not single-quoted in the actual fucking article. [editline]16th June 2014[/editline]
It must be so sureal "How long I've been sleeping?" "6 months" "WHAT"
Gonna make a mental note to, if I ever wake up from a coma and hear that, go "Oh okay, that's cool."
Gonna make a mental note to, if I ever wake up from a coma and hear that, go "Oh okay, that's cool."
"no no, what year- wait, really?! I DID IT! overshot a little but... I have something very important to tell you, but not for another three years"
