I recently purchased a new graphics card and power supply for my computer and now I want to upgrade the rest for Christmas. Specs: Operating System: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1 CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Kentsfield 65nm Technology RAM: 3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 332MHz (5-5-5-15) Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0TP406 (CPU) Graphics: W2240 (1920x1080@60Hz) SDM-S75D/F/N (1280x1024@60Hz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Hard Drives: 313GB Seagate ST3320620AS ATA Device (SATA) Optical Drives: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653B ATA Device Audio: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC Salvaging: I plan on salvaging my cd drive, my graphics card, my power supply, and my RAM. I also have a 1 Tb hard drive that I haven't put in yet that I can use. What I have so far: I basically need a new processor, motherboard, and a case to put everything in. Heres what I was thinking for the processor and case. Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849 Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 So what I need from you guys is, your opinion on my two choices, a recommendation for a motherboard, and an answer to the question as to if I can simply buy more RAM for my computer or if they have to be of the same type. Thanks to anyone who helps.
Phenoms everywhere. Nope. Antec300 is also an outdated case, try to find something else.

You're gonna need new ram since all new boards use DDr3.
also you could get another gtx 560.
