This guy is fucking awesome.
I don't really like his music, but I have to admit this guy just keeps getting more and more awesome every time I read about him in the news.
I always thought My Hero was his best song. I've seen Foo Fighters once back in 2005 at HFStival. Best show I've ever seen aside from Skillet.
yeah foo fighters is basically dadrock
uh
you mean butt rock?
its kinda hard to say you dont like his music, as he's been associated with basically every rock band that didn't suck (yeah foo fighters is basically dadrock at this point but early works and past bands i mean)
Woah, people can't like music
jesus i start loving this guy around this time last year and now everyone's doing it
Dave is my waifu
im just saying, dave's a special case where hes been in bands that sound completely different from eachother and its a bit of a wide net to say you dont like his music
im not saying you're not allowed to not like his music, but that some people seem to think hes only ever done foo fighters
maybe they just don't like rock in general

That's...pretty much exactly what you're saying lol. Sure, he's been in a wide range of styles but that doesn't mean it still caters to a person's tastes. Some people may not just like the way he sings.
That being said, I love how this band caters to fans. Remember going to their Arkansas show during the Wasting Light tour and they had a pre-show beforehand asking fans for song suggestions. Can't remember if it was "Tie Your Mother Down" or "School's Out" but they played the fuck out of it with only a few days' notice.

what are different tastes in music?
Okay so not everyone here likes his music. Bummer. I only like a few select songs myself and don't honestly care for the others. But, I do hear a lot of down-to-Earth news about Dave all the time. The fact he's such a humble, non-greedy, straight forward kind of person is refreshing, even to this day.
And for that, I feel he deserves a "Good job, Mr. Grohl. Even if your music is sometimes shite."
Dave Grohl has to be the sweetest guy ever, shit, I'd love to have a beer with him
Yeah, even my fundamentalist, conservative as hell parents are Foo Fighters fans. Hell, they'e my Mom's favorite band.
Dave is a living Rock Legend. Kinda cool to see he's getting in the news, he does deserve it.

People have different musical tastes, mate.

I really hate the term "dad rock" it's so fucking stupid
Now if only he could sing well
Now if only he could sing well
Picky, picky.
Now if only he could sing well
he's a pretty good singer my man, get that stick out your ass

Honestly I'm pretty sure old white people are like the Foos' main demographic these days
I went to a Foo concert in NYC like a month or so back and I counted like four non-white people in total during the whole thing, full stadium
Anybody know why he was crying?
Anybody know why he was crying?
From what I read he was just very emotional. Don't think there's any particular reason.

My Hero was the most powerful thing I've ever experienced when I saw them play live, the entire audience goes all out basically. I could see why it'd make someone get a lil teary from the beauty if they're drunk enough haha.

Basically this, the Foo show I went to was actually pretty disappointing but nobody can resist My Hero
Dave Grohl is :thebest:

What if you have absolutely no interest in rock
