Coleman, who plans to meet Thursday morning with Black Lives Matter leader Rashad Turner, said "all options" are on the table to maintain order Sunday. Hours after the mayor's statement, Smith and St. Paul City Attorney Samuel Clark reinforced Coleman's vow to keep the event from being disturbed. "We will not tolerate any actions that compromise the marathon," Smith told reporters. Smith said the department is committed to protecting protesters' First Amendment rights as long as their behavior doesn't threaten public safety.
Why do they harass charity events and left leaning candidates? Why do they never target people like Trump or organizations that are actually really racist?
Cue tinfoil hats and "Republicans hired imposters to impersonate BLM #FeelTheBern" Is black lives matter even that big? The most I've seen of it in my areas are just facebook posts. I've never seen anything like public demonstrations and event sniping outside of the news.
At this point, they shouldn't be considered a _____ rights organization but a hate group. They've got no reason to block this protest except "lol we'll be edgy and get attention" which now that I think about it really pisses me off.

There's a former afro-american classmate of mine; she posts EverydayFeminism and other BS articles that make it to my news feed all the time. One of them described in essence "Blacks wouldn't have to attention whore if the white establishment didn't systemically oppress them from getting attention through other means!"

And honestly if the mayor goes through with arresting people and such it's just going to give them more coverage and more ammo because "white mayor cracks down on black protesters" instead of "mayor prevents disruption at charity marathon".
Not to mention they swarmed an event at MOA not long ago, which is private property, then got indignant when they were told to fuck off. They haven't given themselves a good image here or anywhere really
About time someone stood up to that whack job of a group...
they go against left because they're the ones who will give them a platform and meekly concede ground to them
You were right until you got to around this part of that post. It's hardly "meek" to give the protesters a chance to actually say what they want to say, and integrate it into your platform if you actually agree with it. I never got the whole "bernie is a pussy getting pushed around hahaha" shit because he willingly gave up the mic to let them have a say. If you want to encourage a disenfranchised group to vote for you, actually try and let them take part in the discourse that is politics and give them a chance to be heard. There's a reason a majority of black voters go for the democrats, they're about as left and open to hearing the issues of minorities as the US is gonna get any time soon.

Granted that friend also supported killing cops, and me having ties to the cops, after reporting his ass I just defriended him.

But after their recent activities, I'll have to add this to the nearly blank piece of paper of things I agree with Fox News on
