The case centers on an exotic dancer nicknamed "Ruby the heart-stealer." A panel of judges sentenced him to seven years in prison. He is also barred him from holding public office. Berlusconi can appeal. Prosecutors have argued that Berlusconi had sex 13 times with underage dancer Karima el Mahroug and abused his position when he intervened in May 2010 to get her released from jail, where she was being held on charges of theft. Well Italian courts take forever to go through appeals so it will be years upon years before we actually see him in jail, if ever.

As someone who has lived in Italy for the majority of his life (and Berlusconi occupies 10% of the news every single day), I can say that he won't get a second in prison.

Don't defend the girl, she's as deceitful as the man who fucked her in her underage years and she would deserve the same punishment. She did it for the fame and the money, with no trace of good faith in her actions. In the end, she did indeed achieve what she wanted. You could even say she beat the master at his own game.

And if they aren't, they have friends also in power who are and will do it for them.
