I am really disappointed they didn't understand why people didn't like Sticker Star.
Overall mediocre Direct, could have been better. I hope they're saving the new Zelda for E3, the wait for more footage is long overdue.
TIME FOR STICKER STAR 2.0 OH BOY
Can someone explain to me the hate on Sticker Star and the new Paper Mario? I never played any Paper Mario games, and the new one honestly looked appealing to me.
it looked pretty but the chances of it being anywhere near as good as TTYD are slim [editline]3rd March 2016[/editline] it's been 12 years I just want one more amazing paper mario game please
Fucking SNES VC on N3DS ordered a New 3DS from Nintendo just for this
Can someone explain to me the hate on Sticker Star and the new Paper Mario? This made random enemy encounters pointless, and actively encourage running away from fights to save stickers, which sucked a lot of the fun out of the game. Sticker Star also had no original characters, which looks like that problem is addressed already in the new Paper Mario.
Can someone explain to me the hate on Sticker Star and the new Paper Mario? It's coming to the point in which fans of Paper Mario, TTYD, and Super Paper Mario more than likely create a community Fan Game. Edit: Oh forgot to mention, Bowser was the main Baddie in sticker star, which could have been fine, Bowser was the Original's Main Baddie, BUT they threw out all of his Character traits from Paper Mario Series.
Fucking SNES VC on N3DS ordered a New 3DS from Nintendo just for this
I feel like this is the most bullshit thing Nintendo did. What's stopped them from doing it the past 5 years? Why is it N3DS only? Are they doing it because homebrew is finally doing SNES emulation mostly well on the 3DS (Original and News)? And it's still half arsed. No indication of games to be released in the future (after a year we still only have 15 Wii games on the Wii U eshop). No gameboy advance games. This is also the first new Virtual console release on the 3DS since 2014 (along with pokemon).
Nintendo: "Let's make Paper Mario but without the clever writing, engaging story or fun characters" Everyone: "That sounds like the shittiest RPG ever made." Nintendo: "Oh wow you're right. I know how to fix this!" *removes RPG elements* And that's how Paper Mario died.
If Nintendo did a Paper Luigi storyline of him visiting the Waffle Kingdom with TTYD mechanics, it would sell like wafflecakes.

Oh man, when I first saw Federation Force I was hoping it would expand on the GF's lore. So happy to see I'm getting just what I wanted from it. Also fuck you, Other M, Prime series is still canon.
Star Fox Zero, Mario Maker Update, and new Kirby were the highlights for me.
The federation force video had over 1k dislikes before they disabled ratings.
Love me some new kirby. But why the fuck is the UFO ability behind an amiibo paywall? Is the Smash ability also locked behind a paywall? Stop with this amiibo only shit! :scream:

The only exceptions to that rule are the Ambassador GBA games, and even then those were a special case and were just GBA games loaded through the GBA code within the DS code (that the 3DS uses to run DS games). The amount of VC games on nintendo consoles suck, though, I can't disagree with that, but they would have put SNES games on the 3DS long ago if they were happy with the result.
The federation force video had over 1k dislikes before they disabled ratings.
This saddens me greatly.
How bad was the Nintendo Direct :s:?

Keep in mind they had a few GBA games available for early adopters that didn't work properly (something to do with game battery emulation I think?) I won't be surprised if we see GBA games being released later on with a better emulator. As for Wii games on the WiiU, maybe theirs not a huge demand for most of them? I know a couple of the Wii games released on VC are ones that are hard to find (Xenoblade, Metroid Trilogy) so it makes sense to give players the ability to buy them rather then resort to pirating to get rare games. Also this stuff takes time, it's not like Nintendo can just copy and paste code from another emulator and make it work with a bit of tweaking. Not being Nintendo defense force or anything, most of what was in this direct felt like padding for their big stuff at E3, but theirs a reason 3DS is only getting SNES games now and only on N3DS.
How bad was the Nintendo Direct :s:?
It was alright enough. New Kirby Game announced so I'm happy.
mario maker keys will be both a godsend and a terror
I know a couple of the Wii games released on VC are ones that are hard to find (Xenoblade, Metroid Trilogy)
Xenoblade was only released in europe. I am still mad.
Xenoblade was only released in europe. I am still mad.
It only being released in Europe was a godsend because the dub is amazing.
Having a level select screen for Paper Mario kinda ruins a part of the fun for me.
Fucking SNES VC on N3DS ordered a New 3DS from Nintendo just for this
snes virtual console was a reason i bought a n3ds, felt real silly when there wasn't any.
9:00 These are an even bigger pain, in a good way ;)
I'm pretty happy to know for sure that the new Rhythm Heaven is coming to America.
