Well for the past year I've been composing piano music, during my studies at college. I haven't ever recorded any of my pieces, but since it is summer, I decided to give it a try.
I warn you the quality is not very good and I still have some tweaking to do to the piece.

Bad microphone but the playing is nice.
You need to play softer
Don't think "press the keys down", think "land on the keys"
Otherwise it's quite nice

Deja vu, my piano professor about slapped me every time I played Grieg's "Puck" for slamming the keys down in the piece.
It's awesome man, simple, but it's really nice. How long have you been playing?
No matter how experienced or inexperienced you are you should always play your own stuff, weather composing or improvising. It's the way to develop as a musician in general.
Keep going, bro!

And as said, you should try to play it softer. Have you written any notes for this?

I've been playing, for I suppose two years and a half with lessons, and far much longer teaching myself. One year was with just a piano teacher, and the other year was my first year in college, I'm heading to my second year this coming September. I going in for music education to teach music, piano is my primary instrument. Anyways, I'm working on writing it now, I got about 1/4 of it written.
That's really nice, I hope you get far. I'm a pianist myself, but I can't seem to compose stuff. How did you do when you made this song? Did you just play something and then remember it or how did you do? :buddy:
Wow, you're hitting the keys hard.
It's simple in a good way

Well, there is a couple of variables that come into play when I compose music. One of the things that comes to mind is being influenced by different composer, their playing style or what there reason is for composing their music. For example, Philip Glass influenced me with my other compositions, in the chord progressions that he does. His music is mindless playing, but what I do with my composing is I take other peoples styles and make them my own. So if you could hear my other compositions you could tell I was influenced by him but I play my own style. I play the bass clef like minimalist do, but I have a changing treble clef melody, and you should know what I mean by that if you listen to fair amount of the minimalist music. Now that is just one Variable that comes into play, I've gotten superior on the type of chord progressions that I do.
The second variable is arguably the longest one, which is me sitting at the piano fooling around. Meaning I'll just sit there and play little tiny melody's that I just come up with on the spot, whether that is from whistling a little tune, transferring it to the piano or just by random, me playing different notes, until I find something I like and want to stick with.
Once I find something I like, I build upon it. Now you can actually get away with doing this backwards, meaning, come up with a chord progression and then write the melody. Each way has their pluses, I come up with a chord progression first.
Really just from there, it is just experimenting, finding things you like to hear.
Everyone has their own styles of playing, and mine just so happens to be a style of storytelling and minimalism. I try to write music so the listener gets something out of it besides just thinking it was a good piece, like Bach, Bach is a good composer but he didn't write music to tell a story, he wrote it to show off technical playing.
Anyways I hope that helps.
Also I play pretty much play by memory, basically if you play something enjoy shouldn't it be memorized into your mind and muscles. A lot of my colleagues can't memorize any of the music they play, they have to have the sheet music in front of them at all times.
Well yes, I'm an improviser myself, but I cannot repeat what I have played before and I cannot get it down on paper. I'll get a video up sometime to show (off) me playing :v:

Alrighty
Really awesome!
Get a better camera and/or mic and you'll be set.
Sorry but Bach didn't write music just to show off technical ability.

I know, I just don't feel like going into the whole story of Bach, but if you want, you can go ahead and give the story.
We study him in music history, and that is the most general thing I can say about the man. Some of the pieces by Bach I'm having to play are some of the most technical pieces I've ever come into contact to. So I generalize the man with being technical.
Came up with this little piece in about a hour, this gives a better example what I mean by my style of playing.

It reminds me off this one jazz classic sang by Frank Sinatra. It feels like that it is the same song, but then it goes away. Then the feeling returns in certain parts. Weird
