Man, I really hope the next Metal Gear Online has less an emphasis on head shots, and more on actual guile, with perhaps a bit of stealth.

I hope it isn't shut down two years after release like the last two MGOs were.

You couldn't buy the DLC through the PSN, it was based on dedicated servers on consoles so it was just a massive money sink. I'm sure MGO will survive, on PC at least.

I hope they bring back sneak mission. Loved it when you could play as snake and just CQC the entire lobby. I had a great time playing MGO.

Text chat, Codec Chat, Male Voice F's return (or just anyone with "I don't think so") and a good Shotgun to hunt Foxhounds and to be a general cunt to people with. I won't even care if it can't get headshots, just give me a Shotgun and let me do the rest.

Made me quit.

Still, it's an actual issue.

In MGO2 anything but a headshot was practically worthless. I still loved playing it though, even competitively. The [I]real[/I] problem was that MGO2 had little to no lag compensation [I]what-so-ever[/I]. It was terrible. For example, if you were to roll over a gap - on your screen, you would make it over fine. On everyone else's screen, you would momentarily fall to the bottom then snap back up. On that moment that you were on the ground, you could be shot or grabbed. The game was full of shit like this. And then the game was flooded full of people using lag exploits and lag switches. It was just bad.

MGS franchise focuses mostly on militarism and paramilitarism but also has some sci-fi, drama and even paranormal stuff. I wonder if the players will be able to buy cyber augmentations or get upgraded with strange powers a la psycho mantis to make it more varied instead of just being soldiers shooting each other.
