On the St. Patrick's day episode of The Office, the janitors were playing Arkona on their stereo [editline]12:57AM[/editline] I was thinking "holy shit, arkona on television"
Hahaha I want to hear it.
It was only for a second. I believe the song was Yarilo. [editline]01:13AM[/editline] It just amazed me that such a mainstream show would feature an obscure folk metal band like that.
Didn't know you like Slavic Pagan Metal. :v: [editline]11:41PM[/editline]
Didn't know you like Slavic Pagan Metal. :v:
Metalheads can be shitposting funnywhores too Arkona isn't in my top 10 or anything, but I give their albums a spin now and then.
I can't really listen to regular metal. I prefer folk. I also enjoy Dub Step, Smooth Jazz, Talk Radio, Classical Music, and Alternative Rock.
This is awesome

Keyboards, orchestral instruments, folk instruments, etc. always make me enjoy the music more. Eluveitie are awesome folk metal. The electric instruments are hardly prominent compared to things like the lute, flute, etc. and there's like 10 members :slick: I believe Arkona have a load of members as well
This shit is awesome, been listening to it for a while, one of the best folk metal sub-genres. I love mixed generes like these.
ELUVEITIE Best Folk metal band^
Eluveitie... I prefer my folk metal to have black metal in it, not melodeath. (Try Kampfar, Myrkgrav, Månegarm. Although Suidakra's Crógacht is a masterpiece of folk and melodic death) Spirit was a good album though.
Eluveitie sounds too mainstream metalish. Not folk enough for my taste. :v:
Never heard of them, they are pretty sick [editline]08:28PM[/editline] Album art in that 1st video reminds me of a Deathklok one for some reason

It's great.
Awesome. I hoped stuff like this existed but never heard it :buddy: Also reminds me of this:
Awesome, thanks for this OP! :D I've always loved Korpiklaani and Finntroll, so this fits in nicely. It's the only metal I can stand.

Like the Scrubs episode with the two DevilDriver songs in it. Despite what anyone says or thinks about DevilDriver, I, for one, really enjoy The Fury of Our Maker's Hand. And the song "Devil's Son" is stuck in my head. :colbert:
