I LOVE GMOD. There I got that off my chest. I Love it so much for it has millions of different ways to be played.
But I have a problem, I want to download all the good addons. So at the moment I have nearly 700 addons saved to my Gmod.
I know, my game is constantly freezing up and lagging, and this is why I came here. There has to be some way to do this.
When opening the GMod ingame menu (by pressing Q) you can see all of your addons by opening the addons folder. I have tons of different models and such,
and what annoys me beyond belief is that I cannot merge addons into a single folder. For example, I make many TF2 poses and therefore
I have many different hexes installed. None of them say what class they are for in the title so it is always a pain to find which ones I want
and then see if it looks good etc etc. Is there some way that I can make a custom folder in my addons folder that goes like this?
>Addons
....Scout
....Soldier
....all other classes
other addon
other addon
So that when I open the scout folder it will just have all of my scout addons (hats, weapons etc) show up. I not only want to do this for tf2 classes but for my realism scene making addons as well.
>Addons
<Realism Scene Making
>TF2 scene Making
....Scout
....Soldier
<etc
Now on to my second question, again this relates to my hundreds of addons. (Please don't comment, "Just uninstall some") With gmod comes its many different gamemodes and play styles
TTT
Prophunt
Sandbox
Etc etc
When I start up gmod I obviously know there is an addon part of the menu where you have these options : Enable all, Disable all, or individually enable and disable.
And this is the part where I need your help, sure I can use the disable all and enable all button, as they are quite helpful but disabling or enabling 100 certain addons is a pain.
Every time I click enable or disable it freezes my game for up to half a minute and when I want to do this to multiple addons it takes forever.
Why is there no customizability? Like enable TTT addons (which you can specify) or enable sandbox Scene making or even sandbox funmode. Of course names should be customizable as well as what it enables and disables.
Thank you for reading through my post and I hope that someone can help me solve this.
