At E3, our focus will be on one feature we think has come on leaps and bounds, compared to previous Mount & Blade games and it's absolutely something we get asked about a lot... but we are keeping it a surprise till June.
There will be a big chunk of information released during the event itself, as we make announcements, so expect multiple videos, as well as written details. In addition, recently announced was that we'll be on the PC Gaming Show on Monday 13th June, the day before E3 starts.
im not looking forard to many gamess but this one is definitely is. played the original and warband so much back in the day. cant wait to the improvements they bring
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. Game of the year coming up right here. Of whichever year it actually comes out anyway...
Their last blog post detailed that the reason the development has taken so long is that they made the game as modular as they possibly could so that they could do things like add new features into their build and the AI would calculate it's decision making options and automatically take the changes into effect. It's going to make the mod scene insanely good.
EDIT:

MOTHERFUCKING SIEGES. I'm calling it now.

I hope so. Sieges have always been the weakest part of the games.
A better way to manage your lords would be appreciated too.

Or actually have them killed.

What do you mean? It's not like you could just jam up a choke point or run around and wholesale slaughter an entire invading army by yourself.
Its weird that a PC Gaming show paid for exclusively by AMD and run like a weird late-night television talk-show was one of the least cringey things of last E3. Cool to see it coming back with more on this.
I can't wait for the mods.

I kinda felt it was really boring? I mean it was no Mr. Caffeine but I still think it could have been better. Here's hoping they pick the pace up a little this year.

We've been show that already and it looks way better, this sounds like something different.
Honestly I hope the game releases this year, it got announced in 2012 for fuck's sake. :(
This is only game I am looking forward to

Among the weakest parts of the game, look I love Mount & Blade as much as the next fan but there are so many flawed game mechanics and lack of feautures and choices in the games that it sort of gives you the illusion of depth and freedom, but there are really only so many optimal ways to play the games. I hope they do something about this in the new one.
Sieges are the hilarious when you play Nords.
I can't wait to see what people do with mod support. I'm hoping for someone to make a versus multiplayer campaign someday.
sieges are hilarious when you forgot all you had equipped is a crossbow and a lance+shield and you decided to assault the castle.
It's so easy, just kill someone with the crossbow, maybe even one of your own allies, and pick up their sword.

I'm weird in that I personally loved Sieges. It gave a strange sort of balance to the game, where if you were good enough you could absolutely wreck and win 400 man sieges, but if you weren't you could still inflict a good amount of damage. It gave me a feeling of how this was what sieges were like, with hundreds dying just to take a tiny section of a wall.
I hope they improve upon empire management, pretty much any city/village that wasn't yours would never get upgraded and stay a backwater (Unless you did what I do and only give lords villages because those are already backwaters)

It was really awkward in parts.
I hope they have FLAC quality sound files when sea raiders threaten to drink from your skull.
