EXCLUSIVE: Electronic Arts‘ hit video game Battlefield: Bad Company is headed to the small screen. Fox has put in development Bad Company, an hourlong action comedy based on EA’s bestselling video game from Alias alum John Eisendrath, Sony TV and studio-based Happy Madison.
Written by Eisendrath, Bad Company features the main characters from the game. It follows four renegade soldiers as they exit military life and enter the private sector. But trouble is never far behind as they realize their commanding officer had used them to further the ends of a shadow unit within the government and now wants them dead to cover his tracks. Eisendrath is executive producing with Happy Madison’s Doug Robinson and EA’s Patrick Bach and Patrick O’Brien.
Part of EA’s Battlefield series, Battlefield: Bad Company, a single-player campaign that drops gamers behind enemy lines, was released in 2008 and spawned a sequel two years later. It received mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised the story’s humor as well as the game’s technical aspects. (Check out the game’s trailer below.)
This is the third sale this season for ICM Partners-repped Eisendrath, who is under an overall deal at Sony TV. He is executive producing dramas The Blacklist, written by Jon Bokenkam, at NBC; and Dakota at ABC, which he is co-writing with Andrew Chapman. He created ESPN’s Playmakers and NBC’s Outlaw.
It's going to be terrible for two reasons:
1. It's a TV show about a Video Game with little to no story.
2. ITS ON FOX.
What would it be about, I mean it's just a war game...
Watch it crash.

It's gonna be shit.
Well, Bad Company had some pretty great characters, and witty dialogue at points.
I'd watch it, it'd probably be better than the 8000 Family Guy clones.
I could see this working if it had the same atmosphere as bfbc1, which is a corky squad of 4 mismatched criminals, starting off doing their job, but ending up gold hunting for their own profit.
But since it's on fox and not fx, it'll be politically correct child friendly bullshit.
This about as pointless as the Battleship movie. No reason other than branding.
Yay it's like the epitome of everything facepunch loves- something with 'fox' in the name, EA, and battlefield
I'd give it a chance because I really love the characters from Bad Company.
im already farting in disappoint
Not Bad Company, just... Bad
I love the characters in Bad Company, and would happily see a TV show about them.
But I guess it won't be that great.

watch as they don't have any character from BC and instead mimic the expendables.
I'd like them to make a TV show based on ArmA2
with real voice acting.
NO VALENTINA NOOOOO

If so, good.
I want them to stay unraped.
It's going to suck.
Let's get this
Show to Game...
Sometimes sucks, Sometimes good
Game to Show
Will always have more chances of sucking

"ENEMY. MAN. TO. OUR. FRONT"
Don't worry guys, it will be cancelled after 2 episodes because Fox.
It's being made by Happy-Madison.
When's the last time Adam Sandler made a good anything?
Wow, that video managed to make Rob Riggle unfunny.
Wow the story sounds fucking retarded. I'm just glad they aren't adapting the story from the first game, that is probably my single favorite console shooter, or shooter in general really, seeing as I don't play that many.
those characters really only fitted in a game. I highly doubt this'll go good.
I'm just gonna watch this to laugh my ass of how retarded it's going to be.

that means the show will be worse than expected
I didn't play BC but at least it would be untouched.
