Kill's review of a ~shitty commie~ Aks-74 drop bag
8 replies, posted
So, being a sucker who buys Soviet and Russian shit, I decided to finally get a Ak canvas bag because I always lug my guns around in a sodding guitar case
There are multiple types of these canvas bags available, but I decided to but the Aks-74 variant because I could also store my Ak74m. They are durable, and reeks of commie surplus
Have a picture of both sides

The bag is essentially a canvas cover that goes over the Ak, with one pouch inside to keep a single magazine. The material itself is very tough, and is reminiscent of leather.

Here is the pouch that carries a single magazine

If you've noticed, the sling is actually required to carry the bag and guns itself, so after the rifle is removed from the case, you can literally fold it up and stick it in your back pack or something

The sling feature is rather nice because it's simple - one of those small things that the Soviets did well alongside putting sling bumpers on their body armor. The case is really minimalist, but other than to carry your gun it serves no other purpose, however, it is not bulky like most western gun bags that are overloaded with extra pouches, zippers, molle, padding, and other things.

Overall I like it (not sure what much to say except it's a canvas bag that holds an ak), pros and cons below
Pros:
-Simple
-Compact
-Sturdy
-Commies used it
Cons:
-not tactic00l multipurp0se m0llem0lle bl1ngbl1ng
-requires an comblock ak sling
-Minimal
-slightly pricey depending on where you get it + shipping
Do I recommend it? Yes, you won't see a gun bag that was meant for an Ak like this. Plus it's Soviet for those of you that like collecting historical commie shit
[editline]extras![/editline]
Here's is a diagram of a paratrooper using a purpose built strap to attach the casebag to his left shoulder on the back

So if you cut it, it won't bleed freedom? 0/10 in my book.
It bleeds Socialism and vodka if you can even manage to cut it open v:v:v
on a scale of 1-10 how rare is this?
M81 woodland bdu being 1 and UCP-Delta bdus being 10, I would say 3.5-4

Most soviet mass produced issued things tend to be easier to find; sorta like ALICE and woodland
however, it is not bulky like most western gun bags that are overloaded with extra pouches, zippers, molle, padding, and other things.
All the more places to hide the coke
Also, I forgot to mention but sticking the aks inside the bag is pretty small (obviously)
feels like I'm lugging around a violin case than a gun bag
Where did you buy it from?
sovyet propaganda but you can find them on ebay and stuff, it's not, 'super-duper-extremely-rare-to-the-max' and relatively available (albeit somewhat pricey because of shipping)
