OK, I watched this at 3:00 AM and I honestly couldn't believe what I saw. I knew we were getting a bit stupid for pop culture, but this is ridiculous. Now, I had never seen the KCA before, so this was a first for me, and also my last. They even brought Justin Bieber in on the action. They got (I;m not kidding here) that guy from "Slumdog Millionaire", which was in MY opinion, a masterpiece, to say that he was Justin Bieber's "biggest fan" The awards were... todays youth man. fuck em. [sp]not in a sexual way, less you want too[/sp]
I'm not surprised. Most young people these day get sucked in by popularity and money so they don't know shit about good music or good movies.
I'm not surprised. Take my film class for example. We did a survey on our favorite movies OF ALL TIME (emphasis on "ALL TIME") over 50% of the students said either "Transformers 2" or "Twilight Saga: New Moon" All the students are over 16 years old. fuck this.
You actually follow this shit?
God dammit, the fact that Twilight is even in the list makes me angry.
You actually follow this shit?
it was 3 AM and nothing else was on except for infomercials. Plus I wanted to see how bad it would get.
yeah because the shit we liked when we were kids was so much better
yeah because the shit we liked when we were kids was so much better
Excuse me? -Dexter's Lab -Goosebumps -Toy Story -The Goonies I know SOME of the stuff wasn't great, but this is getting out of hand.
yeah because the shit we liked when we were kids was so much better
Excuse me sir my favourite games when I was a sapling were Skullmonkeys, Metal Gear Solid and others.
At least spongebob won best cartoon. Although this generation of kids only knows new spongebob and new spongebob is terrible.
AAARRRGGGHHHH GRIM SMASH Holy fuck, remember when TV, film and music needed talent? Jesus, I honestly have no goddamn motherfucking hope for the future of the media. I miss the decent stuff. [editline]10:55PM[/editline]
Favorite Music Group * Black Eyed Peas Coldplay Jonas Brothers Linkin Park
Oh my god, that is just... wow.

I miss the 90's and early 2000's :saddowns:
Let's not forget about Hansen and the Backstreet Boys guys.
Oh god that floating G + The dog used to scare the shit outta me.
yeah because the shit we liked when we were kids was so much better
For example: pokemon. I LOVE pokemon, and did ever since i first saw the cartoon when I was like 4 or something and I'm guessing most of you do the same. However, if you look around the review sites you will quickly discover that when Pokemon came out many adults hated it with the same passion that you people hate twilight or miley curus or whatever. Pokemon: the first movie gets a Rotten Tomatoes average of 15%, and the reviews contain phrases such as "In the tradition of such drivel as 'The Care Bears Movie' and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,' it's essentially a commercial disguised as a feature film.". My point is, the older generations love to hate the stuff the younger generations obsess over because they just don't get it. If you were six you would agree with them. It's not that children are getting dumber, it's just that you perceive them as dumber because you are (theoretically) getting smarter as you age, but the dumb things you like/liked are wrapped in so much nostalgia you forgive them for their flaws. Of course you don't like Miley Cyrus, you are not the target audience (angsty "mature" teen, not dumb kid).

Now, honestly, unless it's meant for adults, nothing is good anymore. I'll even watch shows that I didn't see as a kid back in the 90s, and I will STILL love it. Like Angry Beavers, I never watched that as a kid, but I love that show now!
As soon as Nickelodeon entered the new millennium, they entered a rapid downward spiral.........and remarkably the shows are still getting progressively shittier. Maybe it's just me, but I think the kids of the late 80's-mid 90's were more mature, for lack of a better word. We had shows like "Ren & Stimpy", "You Can't Do That On Television", "Rocko's Modern Life", and "The Adventures of Pete and Pete"......sorry, I watched Nickelodeon almost exclusively when I was younger. They need to have like a retro Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network channel with shows that are at least 10 years old and older.
What about Boomerang?
True, but I thought that channel had mostly 60's and 70's cartoons on it......I was referring to 90's cartoons and shows. I don't get that channel though, so I'm not sure what's on it exactly.

And you're thinking of Teletoon Retro. Boomerang has a lot of shows from the 80s and 90s.
This shit ain't right.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid kicks ass dude.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid kicks ass dude.
yeah, I know. I feel kind of juvenile for liking it though. But fuck it, I'm getting the fifth one when it comes out.
