"Great job tonight! These things are done by teams, and I've got the best team in television! ... This isn't our control room."
"No."
"Then screw it."
The Newsroom is an American drama television series created by Aaron Sorkin that premiered on HBO on June 24, 2012. The series chronicles the behind-the-scenes events at the fictional Atlantis Cable News (ACN) channel. It features an ensemble cast including...

Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski and Olivia Munn also star. The critics hate it. But I love it. Thomas Andrews, what can I say?

Pilot was promising. I hope it doesn't become a procedural where its a different news story from recent memory every week or I'm out.
Renewed for Season Two by HBO.
I liked the pilot.
About to watch the second episode right now actually.
Great show, highly recommend it to everyone.
this show is great, last nights episode was pretty awesome.
This is great. Pretty different to anything else HBO has done, more jokey.
However like has been said, i can see it getting in a rut.
i think it will do fine even if it follows what happened in the news recently. its more about the people and the drama than the news itself. however i did like how [sp]bad they fucked up that segment. it was painful to watch as it shouldve been. [/sp]
Loved this most recent episode.
This is the new House for me.
House: Not about the patients, about the people curing them. An incredible doctor is the main character. Quick witty dialogue drives it.
The Newsroom: Not about the news, about the people reporting it. An incredible anchor is the main character. Quick, witty dialogue drives it.
Really really nice theme for a series but I am in fear it will fail due to it being a bit too "high up" for most people.

Brought in here by that Youtube clip
They already renewed for season 2, so I'm not too worried right now.
I have yet to see a pair of tits in this series, obviously not an HBO show

You can go hunting for Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill and Olivia Munn in the meantime!
...smut over.
I was hooked from the first scene in the pilot. I love Aaron Sorkin.
The report on the gulf spill really got me on my toes!

Also I really like Jeff Daniels, he has some melancholic part to him, really liked him in Paperman.(Great movie by the way)
i wonder if [sp] they are going to get into the panic attacks thing, wonder if she will have a full meltdown in the conference room or something more dramatic than what happened last episode [/sp]
Another good episode tonight.
But damn, it does seem like critics and reviewers loathe this show.
The reviewers can go fuck themselves, I bet most of them are the types of people that this show mocks. Love this show and wish the news was like this, I can't stand opinion-based shows on MSNBC or fox at all after watching this.
its kinda of a scary thing when you think about it. Newsrooms tell the public whats going on (the Obama spending 200 million dollars a day trip lie) and people take the info for granted. No one would question it, and they go on thinking that its the truth.

Most of the reviews I've seen of the show were criticizing the writer. I guess this show is similar to previous ones he's worked on.
I wouldn't know, as I've never watched them, but maybe that's why I love this so much.
I really really enjoyed this new episode, I still remember reading the congresswoman shot news on Facepunch.
God i wish I could watch this not from a stream site but rather from an official source to show the network that I really like the show.
This is a damn good show.

What day do new episodes air?
Sunday nights.
Ohh shit. I was so rooting for News Night when the others were already reporting the congresswoman [sp]dying.[/sp]
Holy crap, that was an amazing episode.
Not available in the UK. On HBO anyway.
Just started the show, it's awesome.
edit : 4th episode is fucking great.
We need lots more of Jane Fonda and Sam Waterson swearing at each other.
I really want more of this show, i don't know why but it just so good to watch.
