Mr Obama said a "limited" strike was needed to degrade President Bashar al-Assad's capabilities, in response to a chemical weapons attack in Syria. Key Republican leaders John Boehner and Eric Cantor both signalled their support for military action. Congress is expected to vote next week. The UN earlier confirmed that more than two million Syrians were now refugees.
The one time people want Congress to do nothing, they probably will.
That look on Boehner's face. Susan Rice ain't too pleased either. the fuck is that Mitt Romney in the background? It's too blurry, almost like a bigfoot picture.
i've never noticed this before but man does Boehner have a dumb haircut. he looks like a shitty knockoff Bond villain
Mr Cantor said: "Assad's Syria, a state sponsor of terrorism, is the epitome of a rogue state, and it has long posed a direct threat to American interests and to our partners."
So why haven't you done anything beforehand? I think it's really cute that Democratic and Republican leaderships are united on something for once.
The administration keeps saying this will be a temporary engagement, and that we'll be out after striking Assad's chemical weapons stockpiles. They keep asking what sort of message it would send if we do nothing. When the chemical weapons are gone, Assad and his regime will keep killing thousands of people every month- what sort of message will we be sending if we leave then? That killing over a hundred thousand of your own people is acceptable so long as you avoid the buzzword weapons? If we go in now we won't be able to get out. http://youtubedoubler.com/9VZi
