[release]As the United States and China battle over the finer points of currency manipulation at the G-20 summit, American negotiators may want to take note of this startling testimonial to the productivity of Chinese workers: A construction crew in the south-central Chinese city of Changsha has completed a 15-story hotel in just six days. If nothing else, this remarkable achievement will stoke further complaints from American economic pundits that China's economy is far more accomplished than ours in tending to such basics as construction. holy fat fucks
Holy shit.
"Enhance. Enhance more!" at the intro :v:
Makes you wonder if the structure is actually safe.
I wouldn't want to go in there
I'm not getting on that elevator.
They constructed sufficient pylons.
Quantity over quality, even for buildings in China. I wouldn't trust that damn thing. Just look at the crash tests of all Chinese cars. I'd rather live in one of those finely crafted Laotian buildings.
What could they do with a month....

They were like ants on a piece of food on the ground.
Not very impressive, all the parts were prefabricated.
Not very impressive, all the parts were prefabricated.
They still had to assemble a whole hotel in less than a week.
that's an illegal amount of constructing
Makes you wonder if the structure is actually safe.
Knowing China, probably not
They used the aegis cheat. [editline]12th November 2010[/editline] But that is really amazing
I don't think that building is all that safe.
Dude. It's fucking made from plasterboard and steel bars. A strong breeze is going to take that down. Something in that will give in a year or two and then the government will cover it the fuck up "in the name of chinese solidarity". Not to mention that there's no way that they could build that thing in 6 days with light heat and running water. They just build a slum.
And it only takes 2 days for it to crash down!
HAAX! /caps
Why wouldn't it be safe. Most modern buildings are built from steel wireframes. Except those are often welded while this here seems to be bolted. Even the Burj Dubai is basically just a bunch of steel frames coated in glass and concrete.
"Look, it is amazing that they built it in such a short time, but the really amazing thing, which I bet took quite a bit was the planning to make sure all parts, deliveries, required tools, personnel, services, scheduling, logistics, etc... was all in place to make this"
wow
Dear world: Yes. We get it. The WONDERS of what you can do with a ridiculously large population and virtually no limitations on government. I am not impressed by a bunch of underpaid workers with absolutely zero freedom constructing a building in six days out of fucking prefabricated parts. It's a giant fucking testament to WHY China should not be allowed to joint he rest of the fucking world in its current state. This should be viewed as a cry for goddamn help by the Chinese people. Not praised.
Whoah, nice. It's been like 5 years since they were supposedly starting work on some hotel in my area, still hasn't finished.
It's not like their lack of ethics/morality is causing their economy to stagnate.
It would if we would put an embargo on them.
It would if we would put an embargo on them.
Like that's ever going to happen, the West willingly addicted themselves to the promise of cheap goods from China, and I doubt that'll ever change.
