Google Chrome eating away at Hard-Drive - 100% disk usage

Constantly getting 100%-90% disk usage and task manager suggests it's caused by chrome.

Never had this issue until about a week ago. Any ideas what causes the build-up?

Also I don't use web-browsers like a mad man and have 50 open, I keep it down to about 3-8.

Does this happen when you have just started Chrome with just one tab open? Some applications can act weirdly if they're open for a long time. Check your extensions as well

Also it can depend on what each of your tabs has going on it. For example heavy media items can sometimes cause this. At least thats the case for me.

ok turns out it was the shitty windows 8 live tiles causing the hard disk 100% thing.

I just want to delete that bullshit windows 8 startup and keep it as simple desktop windows...
