Tech Support Section - General

This site should have a tech support section. It's perfect, I suppose we all know a little about technology. Out of all the forums I've been to this is by far the most active. It's rather amazing. The problems we could solve. Please?

Oh wow! A search feature? Un heard of!

Everytime I search I get this: "Sorry, this type of search is disabled until we get a nice fast slave database up and running."

you can also see right under hardware and software it says tech support, try manually searching the site too, its right there

So everytime I have to search something I have to go to [url]http://www.facepunch.com/search.php[/url] manually?

just remember it, not that hard, just type facepunch, than .com, then /search, the .php, yes, they took out the link for the search that used to be at the top, but the actual search function still works

The tech-support section isn't that responsive anyway. I had an icon problem, and when I asked them, I got 2 solutions that didn't work, and someguy told me to completely re-install Window. I still have the problem.

and if you dont find something right away, chances are it doesnt exist, or or is old and its fine to make a new one, but something like tech support is right on the front page

People know search was at [url]http://www.facepunch.com/search.php[/url] because we observed it's location when it was on the front page. I think it's hidden because the server still isn't up to a full load, so their trying to limit the people using it. Tech Support is usually pretty good, but yeah we have had some threads we just let die because we dont know what to say.

I mean, it's annoying as hell, having all the icons the same, but re-installing Windows? Someone of my intelligence would risk completely ruining their computer. That, and I have to way to install Windows in the first place. Computer came with it.
