Overeacting over Skylanders again.
Don't really trust Activision and Vicarious Visions with the Remasters that much (considering how the former was responsible for getting RE's dirty hands on him in the first place, two they're Activision, and the latter their repertoire of games) and if they do pale in comparison to the originals well shit, consider this video as an early warning but really this is still the best news Crash has had for a long time now.
That, and his Skylanders design really isn't bad and much more faithful at least in comparison to RE's Crash and whatever the hell they did to Spyro by making him a recolor of an existing character.
They're literally remastering the first 3 games, how are they "killing" him at all
What a ridiculous overreaction. At this point i think people are purposefully forgetting the remaster announcements just so they have something to bitch about
I think people are completely forgetting that it's not like Conker.
They're actually making remastered games for Crash. They're not just pulling him out to bait cash out of wallets, they've listened to the people and are giving us what we want, yet we're complaining? This is embarrassing to say the least, considering how many people are instantly "omg crash is died!!!!!" without even seeing how the remasters are going to look.
Hell, at least his skylanders model isnt ugly either. 3 remasters and I'm hyped.

Remastering the originals certainly isn't a bad sign, but you have to remember that Conker also first got a remake on the Xbox.
The remasters being a thing doesn't directly mean that there's a new game planned is what I'm saying.
So essentially, so far, it's just like Conker actually.
Edit: You can dumb this all you want but all I did was state facts.
Never liked crash bandicoot anyway.

"It's just an opinion roc... everyone's entitled to their own opinions roc... don't get mad over opinions, roc!.."
Then again, I shouldn't really berate you over it, since I never liked mario either :v:
ontopic: I thought they were only gonna put him in skylanders, which didn't seem as bad as Spyro, that looks like garbage
But remakes? Oh boy I wanna see that.
That and the RE2 remake are 2 of the things I really want to see.

Welcome to the current face of the gaming community. Disregarding important information to complete about irrelevant or minute shit has become a national sport at this point.

How could you not like Mario?

Actually, I'll have to step out in Vicarious Visions' defence here. I have no idea about the sequel, but their GBA version of Crash, The Huge Adventure, was a very competent and enjoyable game. Definitely not your average licensed GBA garbage, though it didn't innovate.
Assuming they still even have the same people on-board, they could pull it off decently.
We're getting a HD version of Crash, I'm pretty sure that's the exact opposite of Sony killing Crash Bandicoot.
I think it's reasonable to be skeptical of the remasters. Remasters aren't guaranteed to be good, and they technically aren't even new games. They're just recycling something great to make more money off of them. It's not like the original Crash games are hard to get, or anything; they're on PSN and were recently $1 each in a sale. Why are we supposed to be excited to buy games we've either already played or can already get in their original, still-appreciated forms for much cheaper?
If they really wanted to "bring Crash back", they would make a new game. Keep it faithful to his original design and spirit. But of course, people would be skeptical of that too, considering the last several new Crash games were "alright" at best. They already blew it. I feel like Crash has been dead for a long time, and it's just sad to see them beating its corpse like a pinata for more cash.
I recognize that the wider fanbase has been begging Activision/Sony with literal petitions for new Crash games and remasters of the old ones, but that doesn't mean none of us are allowed to criticize what they're doing. I'm of the camp that thinks Crash should just be laid to rest, but he's an Activision property and is thus doomed to be a zombie for as long as there is money to be made.

That's a fair point, people rating this dumb are just ignorant. But I just hope that they don't just remaster and leave it as it is, cause that's what pretty much happened to Conker. As long as the remasters are good, and maybe if they keep remastering, Crash has a bright future after all.
Until they decide to give Mind over Mutant a sequel, then Crash can go fucking burn for all I care.
How could you not like Mario?
Well never grew up with a single game.
The only game even remotely related to mario I've ever played was some wario game for the GBC, and I only played a bit of it every now and then.
If you ask me, this video would have happened regardless of the announcement made regarding Crash. I will say that Sony hit a bump by not showing even a little bit of gameplay.
The thing about remasters (and sequels in general) is that if they're shit the originals still exist, if not then we get a good new game in a series we like. It's kinda a no lose situation.
I don't really know what's the issue. Even if you ignore the fact they confirmed remasters for the original trilogy, Crash looked really good in Skylanders compared to the Radical Entertainment design.
Crash has had his best redesign ever since ps1 and people still flip their shit over it, like god damn compare the Skylanders Crash to Wrath of Cortex and see how much of an improvement it is.

Its a hell of a lot better than Spyro's redesign but it still feels uncomfortable. I feel like they made him too pudgy and the lips are a bit too big. Crash's whole theme is insanity so I suppose it can still work, its just a different take on his looks.

I'm quite the fan of Spyro and Crash (does it show?) and I quite liked all the Crash redesigns. I didn't even mind Spyro until they turned him into a pug/dragon hybrid. Still, the first design will always be the best in my books, probably because that Spyro was literally the first ever video game character I ever saw.
spyro remaster when

OG spyro was perfect because the whole appeal was just "you're a badass purple dragon" and that+his attitude just matched up nicely, everything afterwards was either unfitting grimdark shit and whatever this skylanders bullshit is meant to be
