Hey guys, hopefully this is deserving of a thread. It took me a good hour combing through http://www.cooper.com/alan/homonym_list.html to find enough suitable pairs to match somewhat with the original song, and I think it turned out pretty well. I didn't think to post it to facepunch until just now (although it is still Christmas) but I hope you can still enjoy it.
The Twelve Daze of Homonym:
On the first day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, an idle idol in a sweet suite.
On the second day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, two carat carrots.
On the third day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, three foul fowls.
On the fourth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, four new gnus.
On the fifth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, five pale pails.
On the sixth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, six mules-a-mewling.
On the seventh day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, seven bytes-a-biting.
On the eighth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, eight boors-a-boreing.
On the ninth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, nine heirs erring.
On the tenth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, ten cues-a-queueing.
On the eleventh day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, eleven crews cruising.
On the twelfth day of homonym, my faux foe gave to me, twelve ferry fairies.
Marry Christmas too all, and two awl a good knight!
Also, if anyone really enjoyed the verses and wanted to sketch up a matching illustration for one, some, or even all of them that would be awesome. If not, thanks for any other feedback you may have.
