She was a cunt, but defiling other people's property to celebrate her death isn't right. Celebrate it all you want indoors, party if you like, but smashing shops is just going to make everybody look bad.
I knew it was going to be the Daily Mail from the thread title alone.
Knew it was a Daily Mail article when it referred to "the Left" like it's some kind of terrorist organisation that kills babies with hammers.

The Daily Mail wants you to be SCARED.
Why the fuck are there always riots in the UK?
I can only hope when I die people throw this big a party for me.
Why do people hate the Thatch? I never really understood. (Mostly because I haven't bothered to find out why)

idk bout you but ive been crushing babies every day since i read Das Kapital
This is pretty terrible, she WAS a person after all.
Why do people hate the Thatch? I never really understood. (Mostly because I haven't bothered to find out why)
I doubt anyone in the streets understands either, they just want an excuse to get drunk and smash things

Those dirty, mutated plebians are going to destroy everything your £100,000 a year job has given you over the years, of course you should be scared!

The typical moronic, anti-Thatcher, socialist will point out the following:
- She closed the mines
- She took away milk
- She ruined the country
Anyone with half a brain would realise that all three of these things are completely false.
I saw graffiti at my college today saying "DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD" right at the bus stop.
Alright enough is enough.
It was fun the first day but if this goes on it may get a bit too dangerous.
not to generalize, but is there a reason the UK riots so much? :v:
not to generalize, but is there a reason the UK riots so much? :v:
It doesn't riot especially more than other European countries. The media just likes to emphasize on that.
not to generalize, but is there a reason the UK riots so much? :v:
we are a largely reserved country and the fact that the skies are almost always grey infuses the people with a wistful melancholy
every now and again we need to turn the valve and let some steam out
as it turns out, that involves beating people to death and smashing windows with the weak justification "muh milk" and "muh mines" despite that fact that nearly everyone who's rioting wasn't actually alive during thatcher's britain and those who were should know better
fucking proles

No they aren't, she very much did all of those things.
She also sold all the council houses making affordable rent near impossible now along with housing problems, along with selling off a load of our public sector stuff for short term gain.
Don't even get me started on how she had a retreating ship that was from a country that had already sent their desire to surrender sunk, she was not a noble person by any means.

You're talking about the same people who started the riots and shit in England a few years ago, they don't give a fuck about the cause they just want to wreck shit and steal stuff.
This is pretty terrible, she WAS a person after all.
She was a lizard person, she's merely shed her skin.
Top notch show of class for the death of a leader. Bravo. Rest of world take notes.
not to generalize, but is there a reason the UK riots so much? :v:
Because the police are too soft, they've never even used water canons on rioters, they just stand back and wait for them to get bored
When you get kicked out by your own party that's usually when you realize you're a not-so-good of a leader.
And not to mention that 3 million unemployed during your administration is going to be a very very negative image.
Because the police are too soft, they've never even used water canons on rioters, they just stand back and wait for them to get bored
In France I'm fairly certain we don't use water canons either, the police is real fucking brutal during riots and yet they still happen a lot
Because the police are too soft, they've never even used water canons on rioters, they just stand back and wait for them to get bored
Except they still use kettling, which is easily one of the worst practices possible.
"muh coal mines"
This expression indicates a trade unionists confusion and lack of understanding. When confronted with something he cannot understand or respond to, trade unionists mumble, "muh coal mines" or "muh milk." This is usually followed by calling a meeting to decide on when to hold a resolution on when to decide a meeting for labour action and causing infighting among the left.

It's not like the Argentinians had already invaded the Falklands by that stage.

It was a retreating ship, heading back to Argentina, full of conscripts.
It was simply a stunt Thatcher used to make her popular in Britain and send a message, similar to the nuclear bombings of Japan, to a much lesser extent of course.

As Argentina retreated they dumped sea mines and land mines all over the Falklands and coastal areas, they broke numerous Geneva Conventions laws which is a main reason to bombing their retreat.

There's plenty of footage of police kettling protests and being way too heavy handed on Youtube.
