She will give 10 percent of the sales to charity, an amount she has given repeatedly to goodwill efforts in the past. Kardashian announced the eBay auction on her Celebuzz blog Thursday (Nov. 21), saying a portion of the proceeds will go to the International Medical Corps (IMC), a nonprofit helping those affected by the deadly disaster on the ground. "The proceeds will go directly to the communities they’re serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives," she wrote. "My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction here and support those who need our help in the Philippines."
I guess every bit helps...
I guess selling off shit you don't need and give part of it to charity is nice regardless but if you're doing it to raise money for the Philippines, 90% is not exactly the right margin. I mean, she's got 350 auctions running for this stuff. Granted, it'll still be a nice sum that gets donated (and props to her for doing that) but that percentage still irks me.
Filthy slut.
isn't she already loaded? why is she famous anyways?
Beggars can't be choosers. At least some money is going to people in need.
isn't she already loaded? why is she famous anyways?
big ass and sex tapes
big ass and sex tapes
so typical for famous spoiled bitches she's famous because she's famous that's it
Filthy slut.
How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
Good argument. How many of us can afford to donate?
isn't she already loaded? why is she famous anyways?
Socialite. Came from a well-off family. Her father was one of OJ's defense attorneys IIRC.
How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
Honestly I am just wondering if the 10% of the value she gives to Philippines victims isn't by any chance less than the perceived value increase the stuff gets with this kind of advertisement. In that case she's sorta enriching herself using their misfortune and that's definitely not cool, even if she tangentially helps them with it.

Come on guys, let's make it a bad thing to donate money unless you donate everything you have.
How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
I donated 100% of the money I've raised.
Just ran the numbers and the total sales right now would be about $18600, so about $1860 raised for charity. Not a bad number to be sure, but at least two of the items being sold are going for more than that alone.
How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
I've donated 10% of the proceeds from my own sex tapes to the Philippines
Filthy slut.
this post is in a 50-50 dumb/agree ratings battle who will win
I've donated 10% of the proceeds from my own sex tapes to the Philippines
That was you on Redtube?? Your endurance is amazing...
big ass and sex tapes
Wasn't it her dad being famous for something too?
this post is in a 50-50 dumb/agree ratings battle who will win
I predict it will be 25% agree 75% dumb by the time the thread dies.
so typical for famous spoiled bitches she's famous because she's famous that's it
Tbf fair she does have a nice arse
Beggars can't be choosers. At least some money is going to people in need.
Why not just give the money directly to a chairty, you're going to spend it anyways
Just ran the numbers and the total sales right now would be about $18600, so about $1860 raised for charity. Not a bad number to be sure, but at least two of the items being sold are going for more than that alone.
so basically the charity part is just a sales pitch
Socialite. Came from a well-off family. Her father was one of OJ's defense attorneys IIRC.
so basically no real reasons aside from money
Come on guys, let's make it a bad thing to donate money unless you donate everything you have.

How much money have you donated to the Philippines lately?
Missing the point. She's plugging the sale as "for charity", but keeping 90% of the money for herself.
Sounds nice, but again, if she was doing this out of the good will of her heart, she would donate more than 10% of the proceeds. She just wants to sell some overpriced bullshit and use the disaster as a means of getting it out there.
isn't she already loaded? why is she famous anyways?
daughter of a sorta famous lawyer who was smart enough to use her semi-fame to turn herself into a celebrity.
humble bundle store only donates 10% of the profit to charity
Holy shit she looks old in that article
humble bundle store only donates 10% of the profit to charity
the humble bundle store isn't funded by a famous celebrity
humble bundle store only donates 10% of the profit to charity
humble bundle also doesn't claim that their sales are meant to raise money for charity as far as i'm aware. kim's auctions are advertised as some sort of charity drive.
Come on guys, let's make it a bad thing to donate money unless you donate everything you have.
Falsely advertising your dumb clothes auction as a charity event is okay, I mean, it wasn't a total lie, right guys?
