The new design keeps Google's primary color theme but switches to a sans-serif typeface. According to Fast Company, the new font is Google's own creation, called "Product Sans." We first got a glimpse of it in the Alphabet logo.
The last time Google updated its logo was in 2013, when it dropped the shadowing for a flatter look. This sans-serif design is the biggest visual refresh in the company's 16-year history.
That looks pretty boring.
It looks 'good' but I don't know if it fits Google.
Don't really care for it.
Maybe because I grew up with the other design, though.
idk about that lower g but it's okay
next they'll propably unrotate the e and yeah lol
Alphabet logo for comparison

I preferred the serif font, but this isn't too drastic a change to even notice.
A full history of the Google logo is now available by searching 'Google logo history'
Im not a fan of these new "flat" designs. Making all the lines in the letters a constant width is just boring.
Looks like a cheap ripoff of the Google logo that someone tried to make in Comic Sans but accidentally selected some different font
It's not that bad though. There have been far worse ones.

I can see what they're going for now

Monospace best space.
I know it's just a font change but it seems off to me.
That's probably just because I'm so used to the old style.
Why?
Looks a little heavy, but at least it's not ultra thin metro I guess
love it. the other one was way too dated.
The child's book minimalism style is popular lately.
They got rid of the stylised lowercase g? Too far man
Kinda looks like it's following a contemporary trend rather than following its own character, but seeing how the Google logo never had much of that to begin with, I can't say I'm bothered by it.
I like it. It's not a big deal anyway.
Looks boring as shit. I like the current one way more.
