The weapons included four rifles, detonators, component parts for rocket launchers, incendiary bombs and explosives, possibly Semtex. Speaking at a news conference at police headquarters in Belfast, Assistant Chief Constable Drew Harris said the man was arrested in Renton, West Dunbartonshire, and brought back to Northern Ireland. He said the weapons were found on Tuesday night inside stolen cars in a garage at Mountjoy Road in Coalisland.
I saw the thread about the car bomb, but thought I might as well make one about the suspect being arrested, as I live near the area he was found. This is not the only thing to have happened in the area today. There was a Weapon siege on a house a few miles from Renton, A bomb scare a few miles in the opposite direction, and a man commited suicide by jumping off a bridge. I'm trying to find news leaks of the other stories too, as I was just having the news relayed to me, and my first thought was, Are they all related? but, it looks like that thought bombed. Edit: New about the bomb scare : http://news.scotsman.com/glasgow/Boy-9-triggers-major-alert.6746134.jp
What the fuck, this is not middle east. Really.
I also live in the area. I knew nothing of a suicide or bomb scare! News to me
What the fuck, this is not middle east. Really.
Once you've been to Renton, you'll take that back.

The story you posted about the bombscare was something that happened yesterday in Airdrie - the scare here was in the Milton area. Any more news about the suicide? I hadn't heard about that one. Not unless it was a woman - there was a woman's body found in the Leven under the Artizan Bridge at the weekend.
Does everyone on facepunch live the vale?!

Glad to hear they're putting the fuse out on this case.
Ah - Erskine Bridge - that happens more often than you'd think :(
Ah - Erskine Bridge - that happens more often than you'd think :(
It happens pretty much monthly as far as I know.
These bombings are necessary to get rid of england. Maybe if we blow up a few more Skoda's in a rural town all of europe will relent under our NEVER ENDING ONSLAUGHT.
