I saw the thread about the car bomb, but thought I might as well make one about the suspect being arrested, as I live near the area he was found.
This is not the only thing to have happened in the area today. There was a Weapon siege on a house a few miles from Renton, A bomb scare a few miles in the opposite direction, and a man commited suicide by jumping off a bridge.
I'm trying to find news leaks of the other stories too, as I was just having the news relayed to me, and my first thought was, Are they all related? but, it looks like that thought bombed.

I live in the area too - there were rumours about an armed siege, but it seemed to be the house the Irish suspect lived in being searched by Police. The story you posted about the bombscare was something that happened yesterday in Airdrie - the scare here was in the Milton area. Any more news about the suicide? I hadn't heard about that one. Not unless it was a woman - there was a woman's body found in the Leven under the Artizan Bridge at the weekend.

I couldn't find a news story on it, so it may be false, but apparently someone leapt from the Erskine Bridge.
