• Fitness: Too much work put into body muscles?

Hey guys, recently I started doing Krav Maga, I've always wanted to do martial arts and this one came perfect to me. Probably because I wasn't used to do much exercise, my muscles are all sore and 'stuck', it hurts to even walk, lol. Would it be good to do any sort of exercise now until the next training day, even in my condition? Maybe rub some kind of liquid medicine on the body to heal faster? Otherwise I don't think I'll be able to fully heal until next Monday. I really want it to work though, I checked the video my instructor posted on facebook, of us training, and I was already missing being there. Help please?
The only medicine is more training. If you want to learn or excel in any martial art you have to get used to it. I'm not saying tough it out but I am saying your body will get used to it. Plenty of sleep, rich-nutritious food is all it takes. When did you start training?
You're experiencing DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). Everyone will experience this when they first start doing intense physical training such as lifting weights, climbing, etc. This of course provided it's a general soreness of the muscle and not acute in one particular area Keep training, it'll pass.
Thanks guys, I only did two training sessions yet, once a week, because it's all I can handle for now, I hope this passes quick
Soreness goes away faster if you get blood flowing. If you just sit around and rest, DOMS can stick around for days and days and days. Get up, go train. It will hurt/suck at first, but once you actually get moving the pain from soreness will quickly fade.
Make sure to stretch. I took a year of MMA and brazillian ju-jitsu so I know how intense that stuff is. Stretch. And keep working.
Do cardio workouts in the meantime.
