So, I have an '86 Corolla Hatchback,
which, I know is kinda a shit box, but its reliable, and was dirt cheap,
and the door panels (front especially) are starting to break down, because they are made out of chipboard,
So, I was considering getting some nice grainy wood, and making new panels for it.
Anyone got any knowledge of what wood would be good?
and and tips from anyone that has done something like this before.
Cheers in advance

Fiberglass and bondo fuck yo resale value
If you want to mount it, one layer will likely have to be chipboard so you can thread the panel clips into it. Technically anything will work. I've seen people remake temporary ones out of cardboard, put vinyl over it, then sell the car. my 68 has the weird particleboard too, that is on some cardboard level. You can pop em off and just put carpet on the doors too. I've seen it done and it doesn't look bad.
