An Atlanta couple nearly killed their baby boy when they gave him a cup full of Coke and 40 proof brandy, police said.Jasmin Briana Moore and William Chester Hickson were arrested for child cruelty this week after their 2-year-old son stopped breathing last weekend, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. They rushed the drunken tot to a nearby hospital, where doctors discovered the boy's blood alcohol content was 0.29 — more than three times the legal limit for adult drivers in Georgia, police said. According to their arrest warrants, Moore and Hickson made the toddler a cocktail out of Coca-Cola and 40 proof Paul Masson Brandy on Oct. 4. He drank until he became unresponsive, police said.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/ga-parents-give-2-year-old-son-brandy-coke-cops-article-1.1971112 why
That's not just child cruelty, that's straight up stupidity. Underage drinking can go wrong at the best of times, but that kind of potent spirit should be nowhere near a freakin' toddler.
A lethal dose of alcohol (Ethanol) is 3g/kg for children The avg weight of a 2 year old boy is 12.3 kg Paul Masson Brandy is 40% alcohol by volume A cup contains ~236 milliliters the density of Ethanol is 0.789 g/cm3 (at 25°C) A full cup contains 74.4g of ethanol taking into account that it was mixed with coke, (~10%) which means that there were about 7.44g of ethanol in that cup what would be the metabolic tolerance of ethanol of a 2 year old boy?
What kind of parent would give their baby alcohol? I mean my grandma gave me wine on my pacifier to help me sleep, but 40% alcohol? Are they insane?
This isn't reckless endangerment, this is a straight up attempted murder. They basically poisoned him.
Every time I read thread titles like this I'm like: "Oh wait, there is a state in the US that is named exactly like it" Make up something unique ffs

Shit parents.
Oh... I thought it was cocaine at first.
At this point I'm actually wondering if they weren't actively trying to kill the baby.
