Wow. I have never seen that effect before. I was just expecting this to be another one of those things where the camera and the propeller sync up so the propeller looks like it isn't moving.

I bet this happens because the camera took parts of the same frame at slightly different times.
It would've been cooler if they shown what happened when it went down.

its because the capture starts at the top of the image and goes to the bottom

Yeah, some cellphones have a vertical delay on picture taking, mine is so cheap that if I move while taking a picture, everything gets warped.
