This is my first real short film I Directed it and edited it.
The writing isn't top notch but work is work (he took himself too seriously as we are all 14-17 year olds).
I'm about to start writing a small miniseries myself so if there is any constructive criticism or advice please just PM me or leave a comment, it would be great to get some feedback.
Thanks and enjoy!

(this was posted before on the video section but I decided I might get more constructive feedback here).
Seemed like there was some budget to this. The lighting, camera movement & cinematography, and mise en scène in genereal was pretty good.
Only thing that really bothered me was the sound. The whole thing is mastered pretty low and the music (drums & credits) didn't fit at all. I think a more sinister approach to the music would be more suitable.
The script itself was a bit pants. Good job on using a track & dolly though. Always makes stuff look good.
wow that was very good!
tottally agreeing with cyanidem on everything there.
It's great! but once the drums kick in, it's less enjoyable and becomes a little bit dramatic.
What did you use for the first shot where the camera is panning?

Something quite similar to this but a little bigger and with a handle.

and thanks for the feedback so far guys.
Pretty good, but keep the music consistent, in a scene you can't have sad music when two people are talking, then, while they're still talking have upbeat rhythms come in, it just doesn't sound good.
Also, was this Australian?
That was pretty well done, but never underestimate how important sound design is.
I liked it as well, however the sound was rather quiet (And it's not me, i've got everything at max), and the action-ey music at some parts seemed quite unfitting. As the above post says, never underestimate how important sound design is. It can make or break a movie. (Think about if Invader Zim had nearly no sound in all parts, and unfitting music in a lot of sections.)
However, I found that the acting was very convincing, and the only real things that need improving are the sound, and a little bit of the writing (I didn't quite understand what was happening at the beginning, but as was said, this is a short movie. There could have been a huuuggee introduction to an actual movie from what I know.)
So I am re-editing it, i'm pumping up the master volume, choosing a new song and altering some color correction.
Any other suggestions?
You could acquire VideoCoPilot's Pro Scores, there's some nice film-ey music there. Including stuff that fits here.
