They're going for a NATO exercise from a military base they have here. So might as well make a public show. The onlookers certainly appreciated their support. Hundreds of people along the way waved at them.
Though some people from a village near Ploiesti (a refinery city) called our emergency services once they saw american helicopters, cause they thought they were coming again to bomb them :V (USA bombed the shit out of Ploiesti in WW2, not very successfully because of the big losses on the american side)
