The head unit's display in my Buick went out. I'd like to replace it but there's one problem - the display and controls are separate from the rest of the radio.

Looks like that. I love having easy-to-reach buttons on that radio, and now the radio is going where the tape deck is. So I'd like something with easy-to-hit buttons and plenty of features. Every good head unit i've seen has small-ish buttons, which sucks when it's so far away. Anyone have any suggestions?
Look's like a nightmare... The best advice I could give you is build a custom rack to hold the unit and all the rest of the shit for it. Meaning, Redoing all that wood work to make it look stock.

You could do that. But I'm no pro at finding good head unit's.
Just get another original one?
Duuudddeee Original one's are like. original and hard to find if you cant find the exact model and the exact head unit. I would know.
It took me 3 week's to find a replacement Bose Amp for my audi.
Just find another car in a junkyard and take out the headunit

I went to four junkyards out here - not one has this car. Online the original head unit is $240. No thanks.

You can look online for like a forum that is Buick / Gm stuff. Just look for people parting out there car.
Usually they cut you a good deal.
