Game Center CX - Toppu Gearu for old video games

Hello!
I'm Chief Calkkuna and today I'm gonna challenge you all to watch some superior japanese TV.

[b]Game Center CX[/b] is a show about retro games starring Arino Shinya who challenges old games and tries to finish them in one day.
Arino takes games lightheartedly and laughs at his own errors, sometimes the AD's (Assistant direcors) [url=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5793726/arino_splendid.jpg]come help him if he's stuck in a game.[/url]

It's a really low budget show so lots of the crew are part of the show really often.
The show has side [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Center_CX#Segments.5B7.5D]segments[/url], the longest running being Tamage, where they visit game centers and try out the games there.

The show's been runnning for quite a while now, and it's on its 16th season so far.

I haven't watched the Kotaku-licensed episodes tho, tried them out but the subs and the narrator were just horrible. I wish I had the Discotek licenced EP's with better subs and without dubbed narrator.

the only show i watch that is not top gear

i own the american boxset shits awesome.

my favorite episodes are the battle toads one and the Dating sim one where he keeps submitting Dating suggestions

i also own Retro Gaming challenge and did so before ever knowing about game center CX. Loved that game. Heard a sequel came out but it never touched american shores which is sad.

The US special was fun, the huge arcade place was one of the most interesting tamage places in a while.
