I dont know if this means if hes stopping his music, or he is just gonna slow down his tours/music production. People say it might be a PR stunt.

How about this, I will never listen to a Justin Bieber song if you promise never to post in a thread about him.
He's fucking nineteen, there's no way he's actually "retiring". Stopping touring, not producing new music, sure, but even with all the money he has, he can't afford to keep himself occupied for the rest of his life.
My bet? Some sort of weird self-reinvention, followed by a renewed music career in a slightly different genre. He was basically a one-man boy band, and that's the normal career trajectory from there. He might instead just be a "producer" or talent guy, maybe writing songs for other people (did he write his own songs? I refuse to even look that up).

if he lives sensibly and modestly, with some low-risk long-term investments and most of his money in a few savings accounts, the kid can live comfortably for the rest of his life.
honestly I feel kind of bad for him. his entire life from age 12 was controlled by a giant corporation, so there's not really any surprise that he acted up sometimes
he's just trying to take control of his life for once, it seems

He's younger than I am - if I retired today, even if I had enough money to live the way I do now without working, I'd soon go mad unless I started working on something, and the only thing he's likely to be good at is music.
