Ibrahim Langoo, 19, of Essex, was eating at the Colchester restaurant in December when he came across the brain-like organ in his chicken, The Sun reports.
Horrified by the sight and unable to bring himself to pick up the object, he photographed the food and complained to staff at the counter.
"I have a habit of picking the chicken off the bone with my fingers and as I pulled the second piece apart, I saw this horrible wrinkled foreign body," he said.
"I threw it down onto my tray immediately. It looked like a brain. I suddenly felt grim and really sick."
Mr Langoo posted the picture to his Facebook page where it was shared almost 500 times.
"For all those that wanted to show their friends and families, here is the reason to never go to KFC ever again," the caption read.
KFC had the photos analysed and do not believe the object was a brain.
"Although we haven't received the product, it appears from a photograph that unfortunately on this occasion a kidney, and not a brain as claimed, was not removed in the preparation process," a KFC spokesperson told The Sun.
"We're very sorry about Mr Langoo's experience and while there was no health risk, we agree it was unsightly."
The apology fell a little short with Mr Langoo who said he will not be eating at the restaurant anytime soon.
"KFC say they are sorry and are concerned to hear of my experience as they have 'rigorous standards' but I'm still not impressed," he said.
"I never want to eat KFC again - in Colchester or anywhere else. I'll eat chicken at home, where I can see how it's been prepared."
I'd probably lose the last three days of food if I saw that in my chicken.
Did he eat it
fuck i don't blame him for not wanting to eat there again
too big for a brain
Patient zero.
The infection has begun!
I'd probably demand my money back and proceed to barf on the sidewalk outside.
Kind of makes you think... Is that how vegetarians and vegans see regular meat? Because let's be real here, that's pretty freakin' gross.

um what
if you saw a piece of chicken in your chicken?
If I saw what looked like a giant moldy brain, then yes.
also organs aren't as bad as people think they are
This happened to some guy i knew ages ago, in an elementary school cafeteria, a much smaller piece though and the wrinkles were small enough to actually be a chicken brain. We never found out though because after the teachers noticed it being paraded around they forced him to get rid of it.
Looks like a kidney
Guys you didn't have any chicken innards, ever?

It's a kidney.
It's a kidney.
fuck, you're right. I meant kidney
also organs aren't as bad as people think they are
Organs are actually pretty fuckin' great in terms of vitamins and minerals, but when you find them in fast food where they shouldn't be, I expect this type of reaction. Glad I dropped KFC a long time ago.

I dont know what chicken you're eating.. but I have never seen a piece of chicken like pictured above

yeah, there shouldn't be anything remotely nutritious of a fast food meal

Chickens also have organs
How did he find it? Did he bite down?
Also KFC is the most horrible and disgusting place in America, and if they don't reboot soon like Wendy's did, their entire customer base will be swept from under them like a rug.
haven't eaten at kfc in 6 years. ate it and the next day i had e. coli.
i have no idea what 'UK anti-zombie' signifies in this thread
This happened to me as well once, and ever since, I could not stand wings. Boneless wings are a maybe, but never boned.
how offal!

It says in the article he likes to pick the meat off the bones instead of biting right into it.

because he didn't eat the brains
and zombies they..
forget about it, i quit my job at being funny
Hey I found one of those once. It was quite gross when I found it, but primarily because I didn't expect it.
I was also 10, things that look like brains are gross when you're 10.
I first tried KFC when I was 9 or around that age and my sister bought me a box of the chicken nugget things and as I take a bite out of it I can feel a really soggy texture so I spit it out and I literally saw this chicken nugget melt and drip into the box, it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen/ate...
...I haven't eaten there in years and was actually considering going back but this has changed my mind
Man, I wouldn't be surprised if this would scare a person off KFC for life. I mean, some would find it awkward and/or eat it, but damn. I wonder if chicken tenders would be able to 'slip by processing' with problems like this?
I think I recall someone on FP posting pictures of this happened to them like a year ago.
