However, rather than lower their prices, Microsoft has now gone in the opposite direction, with the price of Xbox One exclusives Forza 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 all being raised on the Xbox store. Forza 5, Ryse and Dead Rising 3 were all previously priced at £44.99, but are now on sale for £49.99.
Reminds me of an old sketch George Carlin did for a fake store called Dempseys which ends with "here at Dempsey's, we're not just talking about inflation, we're doing something about it. We're raising prices."
"previously priced at £44.99, but are now on sale for £49.99" how do you put a game on sale for more than it originally was are you really that god damn stupid oh my god you are literally retarded Microsoft what are you doing why would you do that like really you are shitting on your customers for disagreeing with bad prices so you make it worse do you like not want people to buy this or something omg
I really have no idea what to say about this. It's God damn baffling.
"Digital pricing on console platforms has understandably been criticised by those who question why digital prices should be equal to, or even higher than, retail copies of the same games." fuuuuuckkk offff
I really have no idea what to say about this. It's God damn baffling.
that's ok, people will only be more pissed now

Wow that's really dumb. What kind of people do they hire into their marketing department? Although to be fair Sony isn't much better. That download-only Resogun title on PS4 is pretty good but IMO it should only be worth $10 at the most (it's only an arcade title) but they sell it for $22.50. I'm glad I didn't buy it separately; got it and Contrast (definitely worth $22.50) for free with a PS+ subscription.
it*
Buy now before we raise the price even higher!
Good news! The chocolate ration is up to 20 grams a week from last month's 30 grams a week! All hail big brother! He's so benevolent.
From the Win 8 hate to the crazy ride that's been the XBone TV box, I get the impression that MS is trying to get out of the tech business. Perhaps set themselves up as one of those lightly staffed licensing offices and let some sub-contractor take the heat for fucking up everything.
Jesus microsoft what are you doing?
Are they not thinking about how people will just switch over to other consoles? What the fuck?
Oh come on, Microsoft, get your head out of your asses.
I wanna know who plans this unagreeable stuff at Microsoft. It even concerns me how they just flow with it like it actually ever works. Like Windows 7, being butchered already with a high amount of Sales, higher than Windows 8 I assure you. It's like Microsoft DOESN'T want my money
"Please stop buying our games. Our business model has failed, and we're trying to kill off our IPs so we can focus on pushing Windows 8."
who would get forza when you could have gran turismo? forza is the cawadoody of the racing world, anyway.

Now they can "lower" the prices back to 44,99 after a year or so and a thread about that here will be slapped with winners and "Microsoft ain't so bad" -comments.
Aaaand 1 more reason not to buy their shit anymore...
Buy now before we raise the price even higher!
Microsoft electronic prices are the new Bit Coin bubble.
If I win the XBox One McDonalds promo the first thing I'm doing with it is trading it in for a PS4 because of things like this that will certainly happen in the future
What. Microsoft really are stupid. Along with the fact that word just hit here in Sweden that the Xbone won't arrive until fall 2014. :v: It's like they want to lose customers to Sony.
who would get forza when you could have gran turismo? forza is the cawadoody of the racing world, anyway.
Lol I have a PS4 but I still reckon your comment is dumb. Forza 4's physics are better simulated, all 500 or so cars in Forza 4 are high quality unlike the 200 or thereabouts of the 1000 in GT5, and best of all none of the cars in Forza 4 sound like vacuum cleaners. Need for Speed would probably be the closest thing to the 'cawadoody' of racing games, and even then it is still pretty far off. [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] Not commenting on Forza 5 or GT6 because I haven't personally seen either in action yet.
Xbones in stock worldwide as people begin mass returns
who would get forza when you could have gran turismo? forza is the cawadoody of the racing world, anyway.
well I'm guessing a good reason for an xbox one owner to not buy gran turismo would be that attempting to play gran turismo on an xbox one would most likely result in an error message of some kind and not, in fact, a videogame about racecars
Good news! The chocolate ration is up to 20 grams a week from last month's 30 grams a week! All hail big brother! He's so benevolent.
Where was this from again?
50 quid is a fucking ridiculous amount of money to shell out for one game. There are better things to spend that much money on. Once you've bought 9 full-price games you've paid the same amount you did for the console its self. Fuck consoles. They've become purely about fucking as many people out of as much money as possible.
